| Prissy barks unnecessarily sometimes. It goes in spurts. Here is what my dog trainer said: Have Prissy drag a 3 to 4 foot light-weight tether lead around the house to make it easier to interrupt any barking that she may start. Anytime she begins to bark in the house call her name and then guide her using the tether lead to the mat in your kitchen. Once on the mat feed her very tasty treats (meat baby food, weiners, etc). This process will interrupt her barking and give her an alternative behaviour to do instead of continually barking. It has worked pretty well! |

| Thanks so much for all the advice and suggestions. I'm going to start with shaking the can/coins. If that doesn't work then I will go on to the next suggestion and keep trying until something works. Other than the barking, he is the perfect little yorkie. He is my pride and joy. I had a Llaso Apso that lived for 18 yrs. When I had to put him down I swore I would never get that attached to another dog. I waited 10 yrs and finally decided to get Winston. He was only 2 mos old when I got him and I instantly fell in love.
