Default Tips from my trainer

Prissy barks unnecessarily sometimes. It goes in spurts. Here is what my dog trainer said:

Have Prissy drag a 3 to 4 foot light-weight tether lead around the house to make it easier to interrupt any barking that she may start. Anytime she begins to bark in the house call her name and then guide her using the tether lead to the mat in your kitchen. Once on the mat feed her very tasty treats (meat baby food, weiners, etc). This process will interrupt her barking and give her an alternative behaviour to do instead of continually barking.

It has worked pretty well!
