| I have a yorkie poo, have a few questions. Can I still post if I have a yorkie poo? 1. will the hair on my yorkie poo grow and eventually need grooming? 2. my 6 month old pup has half silky and half course hair (by rump), is this a trait from the poodle? sorry for the newbie questions. thanks Lit |

| I have seen two Yorkie-poos and they look very different. It may help if you could post a picture of your Yorkiepoo. One Yorkiepoo I have seen looks like it has longer black hair and colouring like a Yorkie but longer and floppier ears and is closer to the ground. It looks like this one has silky hair and it will grow long. The other Yorkiepoo has more curly hair like a poodle and has longer legs and poodle-type ears. Both poodles and yorkies both need grooming so I could say yes, your Yorkiepoo will have hair that requires maintenance.

| I have a yorkipoo. He's 2. Check out my pics...Maybe that'll give you an idea. Yorkipoos can vary even in the same litter. They can have traits of both breeds. My boy has yorkie coloring and his hair is very soft and wavy (yes, he still needs grooming and brushing). He's 11 1/2 lbs. Hope this helps. Please post pics soon!

| He sure is a cutie! I don't think he walks funny...I looked at Max walking and he seems to do the same thing. Did you ask the vet about it?

| Hi, Milo is a yorkie poo full yorki coloring and poodleish hair. His sister looks very different she looks like a mini Lab she has all balck hair and it is straight, no wave at all. Yorkie Poos can vary in color, size, and apperence. Remember withouth the fancy name they really are just Mutts, loveable and adorable but when mixing two breeds you never know what you are going to get. |

| Both of mine are yorkie-poos,as my preference was yorkie-poo rather than yorkie. They look completely different! Zoey is 2 and looks like a full yorkie with no poodle, has the silvery yorkie color, and straight hair, and she has yorkie ears. Bella on the other hand,is 8 weeks old and is black with a white chin, fluffy thick hair, its not really curly or straight its just gorgeous, and has little floppy poodle ears, although Zoey looked much like her when she was that age. I am excited to see what Bella will look like as she gets older.

YT 2000 Club Member | I have a yorkie poodle mix..he looks just like a blonde yorkie. The only poodle trait he has is the top of his head is wavy and he has the floppy ears (but when trimmed they do stand for a few mins) He even has the cobby body like a yorkie. His litter mate is identical to a poodle. I have not seen 2 yorkie poos that look alike, thats what makes them so unique. The odd thing is that my pups parents.. were toy poodle and a yorkie poo, so you would of thought that the whole litter would of been more poodle. . He has the best personality. Ive attached a picture so you can see him. Welcome to YT and your pup is cute.

| We have a 4 month old YorkiePoo. His hair is pretty wavy like a poodle and around his behind its more "crimpy" like someone took a crimping iron to his hair. I don't have any pictures available on the computer I'm on but I've got a few threads with pictures of him. He needs to be brushed regularly otherwise he will get mats and he looks like a little rag muffin.. He is a little overdue for a haircut but we've been having some health problems so we're not ready to bring him to the groomers yet.
