I have seen two Yorkie-poos and they look very different. It may help if you could post a picture of your Yorkiepoo.

One Yorkiepoo I have seen looks like it has longer black hair and colouring like a Yorkie but longer and floppier ears and is closer to the ground. It looks like this one has silky hair and it will grow long.

The other Yorkiepoo has more curly hair like a poodle and has longer legs and poodle-type ears.

Both poodles and yorkies both need grooming so I could say yes, your Yorkiepoo will have hair that requires maintenance.
