Great...so now we can just go on and on about how everyone else is off topic...not that going on and on about it is ON topic.

The best way to close a thread is to stop typing about how it annoys you. Ignore it and go on the next thread!

All I tried to do is address something being incorrectly stated as a fact and not cause any argument.

It bothers me how I always get jumped on when I stand up for what I know and believe. That's not going to make me change my stance but it does get old

You know what, when I first came to this site, I loved how it seemed like everyone got along because of our common love for the yorkie breed...

Now it seems like everyone just wants to get in a fight over a silly comment like 'most yorkies end up in rescues because they are oversized'. Come on guys, is this really worth arguing over?

I'm sorry that I cannot ignore this anymore. I have skipped past threads like this before, but I think people need to start thinking more before they post. This forum is becoming more and more of a b*tch fest everyday

No reason to apologize to me. You are the one who is bothered by the facts being posted.

When someone posts something that is incorrect and another corrects it, often the person being corrected gets upset. Then, out of nowhere, someone comes along to complain about fighting.

There was no fighting going on. No B'fest as you called it until you came along to complain as I see it.

Since when is correcting a misconception arguing and causing a b*tch fest?

There are plenty of people that just lurk and if there is something being said that is incorrect it needs to be addressed. I'm not b^tching or complaining, all I was trying to do was correct something that JeanieK thought was a correct and was not. Somehow it got turned into "you people" and me causing a problem with correcting her "off topic" If I hadn't said anything you and oth would read that rescues are all big yorkies you could have thought that was an accurate statement. It wasn't until another member thanked her for her information that I stepped up and corrected her. In fact she was the first to bring up rescues back in post #10. I let it slide against my better judgement because I wanted the breeders to explain why the OPer should not breed a 12 lb male. It wasn't until after the OPer was long gone and this thread continued and she repeated her statement that I finally said something . She wanted facts to back it up and that wasn't enough. I just don't get it at all

This is an open forum for people to speak their mind in a respectful way. As I see it, is what everybody is been doing,you open a topic, people gives their opinion and that's it, now you agree with some more than the others.... That's how you learn, I have to say, if you are too sensitive an open forum is maybe not the best site for you, but I guess we all agree that breeding should be taken more serios and rescues and good breeders are both doing a good job, but yet, we never going to be just in one side.

Actually it was JeanneK that first brought up rescues. The members correcting her are people involved in rescue that are correcting her misstatement

I couldn't agree more. Threads get off topic and the next thing you know there's an issue between just 2 or more members. If this happens perhaps those members should start their own thread. We're all passionate about our pup but you can be passionate and still be nice.

I think it is fantastic that we have different opinions and there are people on here with all types of knowledge about our furbabies. I just wish that we could all just show respect to each other, give and take opinions without the arguing back and forth. I think everyone is correct personally. Some do not want the larger yorkies and they give them up, but there are sooooo many other reasons too. So everyone can be right!

If it was said that some Yorkies are given up because they get too big~sure I could agree~~~but what was stated repeatedly was incorrect and I felt it needed to be corrected. When I did I was told to give factual evidence that my statement was correct but then told it did not apply to Yorkies

I didn't mean that anyone was mean. I think that having passion in something you believe in is wonderful! I volunteer with a rescue in my town and it is so so sad the situations. I just think that sometimes things can get taken the wrong way when reading posts and people can seem like they are being mean when they are really just passionate about something.
