My Joey used to do that when he was a teeny puppy and I couldn't get the collar small enough. He would get annoyed by it, and try to chew it off. He would get it stuck on his head but in his mouth....so it kinda sorta resembled what a bit does in a horses mouth. I do use collars for the identification and for walking, but my boys don't pull. They walk right next to me, and they go into the grass when they have to potty - which is the only time they aren't heeling. I just trained them very well, so that I wouldn't have to use the harnesses.

I just wanted to share, I am very careful with my babies, I though I have everything under control but accidents happens and now I'm gonna be doble careful, sure they are pretty collars but no the better ones

I'm so glad he's ok!!

We just use a step through harness always, and have their tags on those. Even with being microchipped; I still like to have the tags on at all times except for bedtime.

just 2 of my dogs are chipped but i like them to wear tags everytime outside, i gonna buy new collars tho, any sugestions?

as i said before my dogs always wear harness when they are walking and never wear collars in the house, just asking for a super safe collar

But what happens if they run out the door without a collar and tags on?

we live in a 3 floor, even if they run out they have to learn how to open 2 more doors, i did think to have them in the harness all the time with the tags, but they just cant stand it, 2 of them are chipped and i gonna do it with the pup as well,we are planing to move to a house tho.............we have to think what to do then....we are looking for a house to fit their needs, like a backyard with ahuge fence...we can wait till we find the perfect place

Why not put their tags on the harness? What can't they stand?

oh, have them on the harness (tags) when we are walking is not problem, having them (dogs) in the harness even when we are at home make them crazy ( i have tried this, was not good) you wouldnt believe how many collars i tried, at least 4 for every dog

I think the collar Callie has on is a lilpals collar because they didnt have any rough edges on the inside that felt like they would irritate her making her want it off because its uncomfortable and its not loose enough for her to get it stuck in her mouth yet its loose enough to be comfortable but as a puppy she did try to take it off a lot and scratch at it puppy's take a while to get used to the collars because they are a new thing but eventually they get used to it like if I take Callies off to wash she gets really uneasy until its back on she even comes running to me when I have in in my hands ready to put back on her. One time I set it on the side table and she reach up grabbed it and brought it to me to put back on her lol.

do you have any picture of this collar??? i would love to find the perfect one for my dogs and its so funny that she wanted her collar back
