My Joey used to do that when he was a teeny puppy and I couldn't get the collar small enough. He would get annoyed by it, and try to chew it off. He would get it stuck on his head but in his mouth....so it kinda sorta resembled what a bit does in a horses mouth. I do use collars for the identification and for walking, but my boys don't pull. They walk right next to me, and they go into the grass when they have to potty - which is the only time they aren't heeling. I just trained them very well, so that I wouldn't have to use the harnesses. |
