| You might have to get a small muzzle to do this...many dogs don't like people messing with their nails. You need to spend more time constantly touching his feet when he is in your lap.

Whenever your furbaby is on your lap or on the couch with you you need to touch and play with his feet. massage the toes, hand the nails, and spread the pads out so he gets used to all parts of his foot being touched.

| I agree with kalina82 & livingdustmops Peanut is the same way, He is just a brat the groomer will just tip them, I like them cut a little shorter.. and he will not let me cut them on my own so I have my friend cut his nails and I hold him. Usually he is really good when I hold him. I scruff him like you do a cat and it seems to calm him down and hold still... Just a thought maybe you can try to hold him and have your groomer cut the nails...

| So he doesn't like the groomer hey...I am a groomer and I tell ya....It makes me sad when they don't like me! What I do is have my Hubby hold there face so they can't bite me and nip the ends off as quick as I can. The whole time I talk or sing to them. I have found when I use a muzzle it makes them panic more. Keep going to the same groomer and maybe over time he will get use to it.

| I do my own grooming and I am single...Munch is now use to the muzzle. When I was doing rescue he was given up for biting a child..so he has high fear issues and doing his nails is one of them. It has taken me two years to get where I can play with them at night...but he has nailed me twice when I went to trim his nails. I hate having to do this but he doesn't leave me a lot of choices..
