The Honest truth about owning a yorkie.

OMG....this is so true. I fell in love with yorkies when I started pet-sitting for my neighbors yorkie. I have always been a cat person, and this little yorkie just stole my heart. I became all the things in the list.

Then my neighbhor moved away. I pretty much saw my neighbhors yorkie any time I wanted. It got to the point that we were literally sharing her. After my neighbhor moved to another state. The hunt was on for my very own yorkie. That's when I got Brandi....my little, snuggles.

8. You will be approached in the street by all kinds of people wanting to pet your baby.--like the lady yesterday that asked me If I was scared of someone stealing him

10. You will start to clock watch when you are out just counting the minutes till you see your baby.

13. You will use your camera like never before.

14. When you shop you will always look for the doggy section.

15.You will dress your baby and your family will think your crazy.

16.You will become upset when people say "its just a dog"because you know it is not.

17.You will join a great forum like this and ask what you think are stupid questions but they will be answered with care and consideration.

20.You will look at your home from all angles to check for dangers.

So if you view the above as positives as I do and not negatives you will be a great yorkie owner.

All so true, except maybe the tattoo. What surprised me is that dear hubby was affected this way, too! Cracks me up when he tells me we have to get home--been away from poor little Daisy too long.

I fit everyone of those and i got gatsby as a gift so i had something needy to occupy my time after I moved away from home I think some members of the family are regretting this but my mom refers to her self as grandma and even has a shirt that says my grandson is a yorkie and has a picture of gatsby in his tux from her wedding

lol I was a cat person too at the begining.

12.You will be addicted from the word go and you will want another.

13. You will use your camera like never before.

14. When you shop you will always look for the doggy section.

15.You will dress your baby and your family will think your crazy.

16.You will become upset when people say "its just a dog"because you know it is not.

17.You will join a great forum like this and ask what you think are stupid questions but they will be answered with care and consideration.

18.You will start to wear yorkie jewellery or even get a tattoo.

19. Your partner may even start acting like a yorkie by asking for cuddles and kisses.

20.You will look at your home from all angles to check for dangers.

okay - I own a Yorkie, and I love him very much, and although i DO agree with some of the points, BUT to me - someone who feels all those things is kinda weird. they should probobly have a human child if they have so much time to spend kissing a dogs butt.
