| well they shud have left the face and top knot,, usually if a yorkie comes in to us and matted we always keep the face using thinning scissors if it matted to keep the yorkie look. unless it is pretty bad, which we wud explain to the customer before the groom. dont worry he is gorgeous |

| I'm sorry it didn't turn out the way you wanted. I hear too many horror stories so I don't think I'm ever going to take Fancy to the groomers - I'll just try to trim here and there as needed. Regardless he still looks very handsome.

| I asked for a puppy cut and they gave me a poopy cut! I'm having Deja vu - this happened to me with Sully about 5 months ago. I brought a picture and everything as to what I wanted. The groomer completely messed it up and when I picked him up I did not recognize him. He was shaved and looked like a Charlie Manson reject...Just thinking about it makes me cringe. It's taken 5 months for it to grow back the way I like it and I have not taken him to a groomer since. I bought a little handheld groomer that looks like a moustache trimmer and I give him a sanitary buzz on his belly and butt whenever he needs it. Also use it to do the top third of his earrs. He's happy, I'm happy and I'm still on the hunt for a groomer for when he'll need another cut. |

| i think everyone has been through this situation at least once, i know my aunt has and did cry when they had to shave Bailey because of mats. i know i'll be in your shoes one day as well and have a situation where i'm not happy with my baby's new hairdo. it's just part of learning who you trust and like i guess. it will grow back in and try not to be too upset. in the meantime, have her/him wear clothes if you like to do so to cover it up and put a bow in his/her hair that's left if you want. that might help you feel better about the "rat" look. everywhere i take Sadie she gets the "rat" comment, so i've been using clothing and bows to deter those comments. |

| He looks really cute, but that is no excise for what the groomer did. I would find another groomer next time. So, what's done is done. You might as well take advantage of it and brush him alot. With that short hair, it won't pull and he just might start liking it. Oh where, oh where can he be???

| I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I think he looks great, and your groomer did an excellent job. Shaving is much more humane than working out each mat when there are many. I would never take a badly matted dog to the groomer. All mats should be removed before you go. I also suggest that you follow your brushing with a combing session to ensure all mats are removed, use the comb flat against the skin. Cowboy Magic Detangler works on hard to remove mats, and use it on dry hair, once wet, mats are almost impossible to remove, and shaving is the only option. Some people have also reported good results with cornstarch, again, use it before the bath, not after. Some people say taking a picture helps!

| He looks just like Moses when he got shaved. He had such a pretty coat, dark and tan and when I picked him up, he was almost all white! I was so surprised. He is growing out now, and his back is back to black and his legs are showing tans. But, I like them this way and back to the groomer he will go 1st of Oct. My husband loves them in long hair, but he does not bathe or comb them out, so he has no say. |

| He still looks cute, it's pretty radical when that happens to your puppy, like someone said...it happens to most of us. I was surprised how fast the hair came back to something more like what I wanted - you probably will be too. They feel so yummy when the hair is short |

| I think he looks adorable still! They should have left his face longer, but I prefer the body cut short like that because it's sooo easy maintenance and it grows back so fast.
