| The fact that this litter was not an accident makes me a lot more worried about the situation. It might be a good idea to call the ASPCA or SOMEONE and report abuse or neglect. I really hope this turns out for the best, keep us posted.

| I accidently cut this off my last post: If these puppies were really "eating her out of house and home" wouldn't she just be trying to get rid of them asap? I know that statement sounds horrible, "getting rid of YORKIE PUPPIES asap.." but it seems to me that if she really was desperate she would be willing to give up all her puppies and maybe even the females, to avoid being eaten out of house and home again. It sounds to me like she is really breeding for money, and putting awful guilt trips on potential buyers. And all of us here at YT have fallen for this, and will do anything to save them. I hope the puppies find awesome homes and this situation turns out for the best, good luck!

| This makes me so mad. I hope the ASPCA is called on her and the babies go to a kind and loving home.

| Well I called animal control. they asked for her info and said that if the puppies are in poor conditions they will take them away. But they are going to check it out. I just don't know what will end up happening to these little guys. I'm worried about the lady doing something to me since she has my address and phone number and I think she will know that it was me who called animal control on her. Does anyone know if animal control will find good homes for the puppies if they're taken away? |

| Okay, here are my plans. If anyone has suggestions, I'm wide open for them. I'd like to go tomorrow and asses the situation and try to get the mother and the puppies. If she is letting the mother feed them then I won't separate them if she won't sell the mother. If she isn't letting them nurse, and I believe she not, then I will buy the puppies and bring them home with me and take them to the vet and bottle feed them. Stacy and Cheryl are going to help me do this financially. I agree that this woman must be stopped and I will report her after I take the puppies and hopefully the mother. Does this sound okay to y'all? Elizabeth

| With you girls on the case I am praying these babies will be fine in the long run. I LOVE the spunk of those here when it comes to helping out these little animals. I just hope this woman gets what she deserves...a big hefty fine and hopefully the inability to breed in such a manner again!

| It's awesome that animal control is going to check it out. In my area, our pound only gives dogs a few days-2weeks or so at that before putting them to sleep , I don't know about your area, but once animal control takes them, if they do, I think they'd still be better off in a YTer's home. JMO, but I wanted to make sure everyone knew about what could happen after they go to the pound. I hope she pays the consequences for this, and I'm soooo glad you guys are willing to rescue these puppies!! I think it's really awesome

| If they go to the animal control a vet there will, get all their shots, get them spayed and with a lot of prayers they will make it. They will be put up for adoption, And who wouldn't go pick one up! I know I would, I just hope they all find homes who care for them, and not just want an outside dog. This is just so sad!

| I sure hope WE get them instead of Animal Control! That way we know what kind of homes they are getting!

| I am no hero, and I've told Elizabeth that I cannot afford to do this as a donation, but a floating loan until the pups are placed in good homes. I also told her that after she checks it out, if this woman is operating a kennel from her home as a breeder that we need to just walk away and not fund her continuing. (and hopefully at the very least we can educate her on the proper care of pups, or get her stopped by authorities) If it is just a byb bad mistake these pups need to be removed from such poor care. It is not extraordinary for them to be weaned at 5 weeks and they should not need bottle feeding, but a good wholesome diet and fresh water available 24/7. This is usually the age that byb's want pups out, because once weaned the mom's don't clean up after the pups anymore and they now have to deal with feeding and poop. far too much trouble, huh. This is also the age when it is crucial from a behavioral standpoint that the litter remain together to develop proper socialiation from their interactions with each other. If you ever wonder why some dogs are 'problems', this is usually the foundation. |
