Slicker vs. Pin

This might be a "rookie" question, but....What is the difference between a slicker and a pin brush?

Don't buy these in the pet store, they are all poor quality that I've seen, and the tips aren't polished. I like the Maden brush, and many people recommend the Chris Christensen brush.

I believe having some hair int he brush/comb is as normal as it is for humans. We all lose hairs every day.

Jodie! I might have to try this! Do you buy the bio groom online or where? Zoe's hair is silky but it is always full of static so maybe that would help....

I got ours at a little boutique down the street from the Alexandria meet-up. I'm sure you can find it online. Trust me - I've used everything recommended before and this product is head and shoulders above them all!!!!

Have you used any of the Bio-Groom shampoos or conditioners? right now I use the Chris C System - really don't like Plush Puppy shampoos but do love their blow out cream - 3 of my pups have silky hair and one has cottony hair

I bought the Fusion brush and hated it. I sold it for $15 a few weeks later just to get rid of it!

I loved my CC Gold Series brush until I discovered Madan brushes. After trying a Madan, I will never use another brush again.

Never use a Slicker brush on a yorkie as yes - it will break their coat.

Amazing what photos can tell - A person shared a photo of a pup they were thinking of buying for show and in the photo right next to the dog was a slicker brush - I knew right then and there - this breeder person had no idea how to groom their yorkies and was a novice.

CC Gold Pin Brush is my all time favorite - it is about 40.00 but worth it and comes with a guarantee.
