I believe, for a second, I felt the joy you did! Kudos to the Vet who contacted the Rescue, and Blessings to You, for being on the list...And om'gsh, I don't think I have ever seen such a gorgeous boy!!! Congratulations and many years of love and joy w/your new boy!!!

I love his little tounge sticking out the side of his mouth, that's the cutest thing ever! Does it always do that or was he just posing for the picture?

Teddy is beautiful

How could that breeder look at that loving little boy and just "dispose" of him, like he's garbage?

He's so lucky to have found your family,he'll be so spoiled now

Congratulations! I can see why you fell in love with that darling little face, I would have, too. Thanks to you, Kit and the rest of her rescue group for making it possible for this baby to have a wonderful forever home!

Congratulations. You will enjoy him so much!!!! And he is super lucky to have found you.

I have a rescue Shih Tzu myself. I adopted her when she was 13 years old. The previous owners got rid of her only because she got old!!!!! Can you believe it????? They wanted a younger one so they kicked her out. She is the sweetest little girl I have ever seen. Now she's 14, and still going strong. I love her to death, and feel blessed to have found her. Rescuing a dog is such a rewarding feeling!

I am sitting her with tears in my eyes after reading Teddy's story.
Look at that precious face. After giving that so-called breeder
7 yrs of it's life that's the thanks he's given. Kill him and forget about
it!

I hope all her females become infertile and the males shoot blanks!
What a sick, greedy person.
Bless that vet and the rescue who came to those pups rescue and
a great big hug to you for giving the handsome boy a loving home.

Oh I know isn't his little tongue so cute, lol! He is actually missing a few teeth so his tongue has a hard time staying put

Luckily the vet did not have to remove any more teeth when he had his dental.

The Florida Yorkie Rescue is thrilled to have had the opportunity to get to know Adrienne. How we wish all people who applied for our yorkies were like her. She is so excited to get her new Teddy boy and we are equally excited for her. He will be placed in her loving arms on Saturday.

We have enjoyed reading all the posts/comments on Adrienne's announcement...

We totally agree. It is great that there are people in the world, especially this Vet, who would put himself in the possible position of getting himself in trouble to save an innocent animal. He said he would do it again if the same situation presented itself. Kudos to him!

So let's continue to celebrate the positive side of this story and rejoice with the excited new Momma to be, Adrienne!

I thought putting a healthy animal to sleep is the same as animal cruelty and you could go to jail for that. So really the Vet had no choice but to do what he did. The previous owner had to know that. I don't of know of ANY vets that would put a healthy animal down.
