| Would love to see some pics of your cotton/soft-coated babies please :) Twinkle and Wicket both have soft coats (cotton?), which doesn't matt easily but definitely is not silk. Twinkle's was cut right down last summer but now is growing nicely, and Wicket's is is getting long too (I think the 'skirt' will be to the floor by the time he is a year old) For all of you who have furbabies with this type of coat - do you leave it long? I would love to see some pics of soft-coated yorkies with a full coat xxx

| Here's a couple of pic of Murphy. His hair is definitely not silk and it doesn't mat easily either. I think maybe he has a modified coat.

| Murphy is gorgeous! The texture of his coat looks very much like Twinkle's and Wicket's, so maybe there's are modified too.I think he looks beautiful with his long coat Thanks for sharing xxx

| Awww, thank you! I've thought many times about cutting Murphy's hair but I just can't make myself do it. Do you have any pics of your cuties with longer hair? I'd guess they have the modified coats, too.

| I've been told that Yogi has the soft coat. It hardly ever mats. His only problem is he has a TON of hair, enough for a whole flock of Yorkies! He needs a haircut every month. sigh...he's my high maintenance boy. Before his first cut After

| Here is Laci, she too has a TON of hair , it really doesnt mat to much either, she just has lots of hair and when I let it grow out she looks similar to a dust mop!! These were taken after her hair cut!

| Awww... these pictures make me want to try and grow Tobie's hair out So cute! I have been trying to figure out what type of coat he has and I'm also thinking that it might be a modified coat. It's shiny and doesn't mat too easily but it's not silky either. Murphy's texture does look a lot like Tobie's... I was planning on getting it cut soon but maybe I won't

| Cottony coats and modified coats seem to be so fluffy and full, I love it and think I prefer the look over a silky coat, I've never seen a silky coated yorkie with full fluffy hair around their faces. These pics are all gorgeous!

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Morgan has a cotton coat and it DOES mat if i don't brush it every day. So i shave her down. its easier for both of us. she gets so hot in the summer with all that hair. Her hair also doesn't lie flat. It just grows outward and makes her look like a fat ball of hair. its not shiny and its warm to the touch.

| Yogi, Laci and Morgan are all so cute! And they all have black hair like Murphy! I love the dark coloring with their full, thick hair. Just gorgeous!
