| ![]() Same here...nearly. It left Sophie's coat so dry and course. And she had a cottony coat to start with. I still prefer BioGroom Protein and Lanolin shampoo and Creme Silk Conditioner. After I towel dry them I spray a little of the Biogroom Leave In Conditioner on my hands and run them through the coat. Ahhhh, when they dry, they are so shiny and soft. I did that for the first time this weekend. I got the tip from someone who uses Mink Oil Spray. I would always spray it directly on the coat and then the coat would get oily. Ivan's white looked like angel hair silk (the stuff you put on Xmas trees).

Donating YT 500 Club Member | ![]() Did you dilute the MinkSheen? It's made to dilute before using. I've been using it on Roxy & like it. She's got a silky coat. The smell is not my favorite, but after rinsing well, I don't smell it at all. I like that it has both the shampoo & conditioner in it too.

I also use Tomlyn Nova Pearls Cream Rinse & it makes my 4 w/silky to cottony coats soft & oh so clean & fresh smelling. I like that it repels insects naturally too. Some people can't handle the smell, so getting a sample first would be ideal.

| ![]() I'm wondering if the stinky smell comes from NOT SHAKING IT? Then again I condition my pups with Bio Groom and the smell is not that bad. But it might be that the conditioner made it smell less like Minksheen. Hmm. I love the smell in the bottle thou LOL |

| ![]() I did not like Minksheen the first time I tried it. But I had to admit it really made the pups shine. I finally decided the smell was not that big a deal and I ordered a gallon. It just makes them looks so great and I love that it has natural flea & tick repellant. I have not used any of the Frontline for 2 months now and still no fleas or ticks. I am hoping the Minksheen will keep them away and I can do away with a much harsher product (the frontline). It does seem like they need a conditioner when you are done shampooing. The hair has a funny feel to it. But when you start combing them out, it really is okay without the extra conditioner. I am using it on a long silky coated (Ben) and a cottony puppy (Rocky) coat and it seems to work great on both of them. You do need to thoroughly brush them before shampooing though. Any mats in there before you shampoo will be nicely set in after. About the smell -- as long as you can detect some of the smell on their coats, it is still working to ward off the insects.

| ![]() I received a sample bottle from a fellow Yoyo and she sent it to me at least 3 mths ago and I bathe my two Yorkie's almost weekly and I love what it does and I like the smell too! The first time I used it on my Silky Lexy my husband noticed he difference immediately. I brush my girls regularly so there is very little matting if there is any its under their arms from the grass. Sometimes I will add a little of my conditioner for extra softness. I get lots of compliments on my girls coats. I think it does work differently on the different coats so I guess it all depends on what sort of coat your Yorkie has. If anyone has a gallon they don't want I'd like to take it off your hands. ![]() |

| ![]() Just bathed my today with Minksheen, and I think the smell is a cedar, which isn't bad. But, I still top off with PetSilk Rainforest conditioner for yummieness. Are you really supposed to dilute it? I saw where it says groomers can dilute 4/1 or 10/1 depending on equipment used.

| ![]() Add us to the wierdo's list. ![]() ![]() I think it makes Maggie May's coat beautiful, soft and shinny. Makes grooming easier. For some of the bad tangles she gets (when daddy takes her outside to play ball!) I use Cowboy Magic.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() I have been using it for about 6 months and what I like is I have not used any Frontline plus on any of mine. I have not seen a flea or tick. The smell doesn't bother me. I have noticed to if mine go out in the rain they don't have that terrible wet dog smell. They smell just like they have had a bath.

| ![]() I've never used Minksheen just because it has to be ordered online and the shipping, etc just isn't worth it to me. I've been using Buddy Wash on Jackson and I LOVE it! The smells great but not too strong, it makes him really soft, and it rinses out really fast. I've used BioGroom before too and liked it a lot.
