Did you look at their website? They have NINE different breeds listed. There are no pictures or discussion of the pups parents, nothing.

Has anyone ever seen this place in person? I would love to know what their 'kennels' are like with nine different breeds. And how many dogs would they have to have for this many breeds? This isn't just some hobby breeder, or even a BYB!! This sounds like a much bigger operation.

I thought i'd find a lot of nice, kind, and considerate people who could help me learn and grow in my ownership of this puppy. all i have found here are several very opinionated people who through their strong opinions have attacked me in every way over my own choice, i am hurt, upset, and feeling rejected by this forum for the rude and hateful comments i have recieved here. i know that you were all just trying to help and give advice from experience, but obviously you have had negative experiences and can't seem to recall that people sometimes have great experiences i mean i'd rather rescue this little baby now and take care of her on my own, than to leave her at his home where she'll be in a kennel all alone without any siblings (who are sold already) and without mom who was taken away at 6 weeks anyways...so why not take her, i feel like i can take better care of her anyways....and as for the comments that Marvin doesn't care about his dogs, he is in contact with almost everyone he's ever sold a pup to, obviously he's got great relationships with previous owners that adore him and he's constantly checking up on the puppies he's sold all over Missouri, visiting them on his trips to see his daughter....

so in my own opinion here, yes i'd rather wait until she's 10 weeks old, but he's going to sell her to someone else at 6 weeks if it's not me, so i'd rather it be me so that i know she's taken care of and doing well.

i'm going to go with my own gut, the advice from the VET, and the advice from a lot of other people who agree with me, though most of you on here don't.

Yes i am upset at most of these comments and I feel very hurt from the rude and hateful way you have approached me!!

I hope that you all enjoy your dogs, i'll enjoy mine, and we'll all go on happy as ever with our own lives.
I would personally like to say that I didn't lash out at you or anything of the sort. If I sounded hateful, it was because of the breeder and actually speaking to him on the phone.

It's just a sad situation and he will keep doing this kind of thing as long as there are people out there to pay him the money and don't do their research.

I truely hope that your puppy is healthy. I hope that you do have some money saved up in the event that she gets coccida or something of that nature. I would make sure that you have some baby wipes and nutrical on hand. Sometimes they mess their bottoms up when trying to go to the bathroom. If she's stressed, and you see any mucus in her poop when you get her home, take her to the vet immediately. I know from experience when I almost lost Ellie when she was so young. To this day, I have to feed her a special diet because her stomach is so sensitive. I wouldn't suggest any training treats from Petsmart either.

I wish you and Sadie the best.

Default surprised

normally a good breeder would not send her babies away that soon they need time to be socialized and also watched for development and just it is to soon to leave her mommy 8 weeks is the normal even though i wait 12 weeks but thats only because I have extra small babies and i want them to get alittle more size on them and make sure they are ready to leave and go to their new family i watch how they interact with each other and alone so i am not saying anything negative but this is something to think about ,no breeder should be in that much of a rush to place a baby it seems a little questionable goodluck

Within the first 2 months of owning her, I had to fork out $6000 in vet costs, immunizations, and her spay. Being a responsible pet owner is alot more than just enjoying raising a puppy. Getting a puppy at such an early age is just setting yourself up for problems.

But hey, we've all done what we can to help you with your decision by sharing our information and experiences with you. If I were you, I'd reconsider your decision and we can all help you find a puppy from a reputable breeder.

I think good advice was given to you. I can say that I can commend where your heart is....heck, I wish I could save all the thousands of puppies in puppy mills all over the U.S. but I can't & won't.

The problem is the ones who do that, go into purchasing a puppy from such circumstances, then later on, as the puppy grows older & starts exhibiting developmental problems, behavioral problems, high vet bills, etc., the owner then starts taking it out on the puppy. Not saying this is always the case, but often.

As long as you know what you're getting into, go for it. I wish you the best of luck!

Default Dog

You can save a dog from a puppymill situation you might be buying a very sick dog but it is easier to save one that is at a shelter why dont you adopt a dog from a shelter if you cant afford one with your budget their are lots of dogs that needs homes i feel like every dog has his day and puppymill and what happens in the dark will surface

Rachel,

I am not going to criticize you. I want Sadie to be healthy and happy. That is what is most important here.

I know you said that money is an issue and you want a healthy pup but have you considered buying am older Yorkie? I bought Niyah from a girl on YT and she is 2 yrs, healthy and has up to date shots. I paid less than a pup costs and I really love that she is older. I don't have to go through the puppy stage and I know her personality.

I know you made your mind up and I respect it. I wouldn't want someone to tell me where to buy my dog but I also would know from looking at this kennel that it is a little suspicious. I don't how anyone can afford to care for this many breeds and pups on top of that. I know we don't know what their money situation is but I would suspect it would cost thousands a year to take care of these many breeds. I am disppointed to hear they keep the parents in a kennel even if they play with them and give them attention. I can't imagine keeping Niyah in a kennel all the time. I am just trying to understand why they don't keep the parents in the house all the time. They are suppose to be their pets. Not a thing.

Again, I am not here to condemn your decision. Just wanted to know if you thought about an older dog.

Please keep in touch and let us know how she does. Who knows. Maybe you will prove everyone wrong.

I can guarentee that. My Westie came from a puppymill, the guy was selling him on the side of the road. They called themselves MA AND PA KENNELS. I thought OH how sweet, a grandma and a grandpa buisness,WRONG. Money hungry creeps who could careless about the dog, Just produce and stick in a cage for the next heat. I found this out with research. This breeder came from Missouri. Everyone has given this person great advise and she chose not to take it. I just wish her the best of luck.

I would think that you've got a long time just waiting for this little baby to grow up a bit before you can do any type of "training" with her. I have read that under four months you can't expect too much out of potty training from a pup.

I'd worry more about keeping her healthy at this age.

Wishing you the best with your new puppy, it is hard when you want a yorkie and you want it now. Know that feeling well. I breed on a small basis, and I would like to say 6 wks is very young to take a pup away from the litter. But this does not mean it could not work. Keep plenty of NUTRI- CAL on hand please. Mine are not going anyplace until 12 wks, too smal too young. I know you will love your baby and watch over her so very good.

Note of interest, a puppy mill will never let you see the kennels where they keep the dogs. They show you only the healthy ones in the front, not the back area. I have seen many and cry when I do. I use to do rescue of yorkies.

Let us know how things go for you, and lots of kisses and hugs to the new baby.
