She is talking about someone else and it must have been on a different thread. It was Sungscoleman who started this thread not Delta.

As I mentioned before, it is an opinion shared by the official YTCA, every responsible breeder I have had the pleasure of communicating with, Yorkietalk's Admin, and too many others to mention. But you are welcome to your own opinion. I won't tell you what to think.

I would also not tell you what to do with your own program, but to tell me I am wrong, is inaccurate. To tell me to "do your research before you start these legends" is ridiculous! Here you go again, trying to tell me what to do and put words in my mouth. I assure you, I have done plenty of research and it is an ongoing project, to never end. Nowhere in my posts did I mention smaller is unhealthy. But then you don't seem to have a problem making things up. And thinking I started the idea that advertising "tinies/teacups/etc" is ludicrous! I love that you think I could have that much clout and originality though! Thank you but, I did not even have a Yorkie back when the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America wrote its pages on: An Important Message about Teacup Yorkies Yorkshire Terrier Club of America (Awards) where they also say:
"(Females weighing less than 5 pounds are considered by most breeders to be unsuitable for breeding.)"
and under Breeders Ethics and Conduct: "A member’s advertising:
- ... shall not use terms as “teacup”, “tiny specialists”, doll faced, or similar terminology. "

So -- I did not start the "legend" as you put it. To continue this grudge you obviously have is immature and not in keeping with the purpose of the forum. I do not understand hating someone who differs in opinion so much that you would post falsehoods in other threads, follow to this thread and again try to say I am saying things that I have not. Makes no sense to me. We can end this on the note that we agree to disagree. You should feel free to continue breeding tiny little females (even 3 pounds and less), and I will choose not to. Good enough?
Debra,

Indiah does not breed 3 pound dogs. Look at her ad here on the forum and you will see that her male is 3 pounds and mom is 4. That is not too small to breed. It is 3 and under that is not safe but look her add here:

Yorkshire Terrier Club of America (Awards)

Respected Yorkie breeders would not use the term "teacup Yorkies" to advertise their Yorkies. There are also many books which discuss "teacup Yorkies" and why it is not an accepted term.

We do not discuss suspensions or bans except with the member directly. Calling members names, personally attacking members, or being rude to YorkieTalk or the YorkieTalk community may be reasons a member is suspended or banned.
I agree with the latter part of this post but I am allowed to disagree with allowing those member that taunted her and made her blow up allowed to continue to post as well.

Again teacup is a term used to describe a Yorkie smaller than standard and there is nothing wrong with describing your dogs as small.

If admin and the YTCA feel so strongly about small dogs being bred, then why do you allow them to sell their pups here? I mean shouldn't you feel that it is your right to help stop this kind of breeding going on?

There are missing posts here. If you go back a couple of pages, you'll see someone quoting a post of mine. My post is missing, along with the post I was responding to. Actually, there is a whole thread missing from yesterday that some of us were 'lucky' enough to see.

Not true. Most breeders (and the YTCA) would use 5 pounds as the lowest weight for a breeding female.

Ah I see now -- I had not remembered the member name, but understand now where the posts were and you are right some are missing.

How's that pretty little girl of yours doing, Woogieman? I keep popping over and looking at her pictures. I am loving her and wanting to come your way. But one puppy at a time really should be enough. Still, a little girl......hmmmm.

Default Omg!!!

I got on here after my email and read the post that is how I knew what was said. I said sorry to anyone that I may have upset for no hard feelings. I was upset over a EMAIL from the web site. I am not mad never was. I was new and just would like to have things made right and that is all and was all I was doing. I got on here to learn I had no idea it was going to be this way. My hubby and teen age child have accounts here.... not so sure no more....

I wish you had come back and checked on your thread over the last 2 weeks and cleared this up before. Just today, I read another thread you started about this where you did say clearly that someone emailed and it was not someone here. When you originally posted this thread, you wrote , "I got on here and read my mail" it sounded like PMs and then you added you actually got two, one came to your hubbies email. Everyone got the same impression. Now I see what you meant and I am sorry I over-reacted. I now see that you were not meaning the PM's at all. I knew I had written nothing sinister that could have upset anyone. It still confused the heck out of me that you found them harassing but deleted them before you read them? But none of that matters -- we have already run the gamut and back again.

I wish you well, and not to worry if you do say the T word! no one is going to harass you! You do not have to shed any tears over this or any real mistake. We all make them! I have had many things explained to me since coming to YT -- I just am grateful someone takes the time to tell me, I don't worry about not knowing before, just trying to remember once I do know! I am old and memories are a fickle thing at this age! Take care and please do not give this long, convoluted thread another thought. It will all go the way of all abandoned threads within a few days anyway.

I did study and talk to many breeds and vets and no one has ever said to me dont say those words. I do know that small can be harmful during labor for a female. I just feel so bad about this. I did not mean to get anyone upset or to start an fuss. I am not this way. The only reason i said those words again just now for everyone knows what i have said and newbies will not hopefully make the same mistake as i did. I did not read the replies i am sorry to say i emptied my box before i could read. I just now go back on here cause my son's birthday was yesterday (the big 10). I really am so sorry. I feel so bad i am really in tears. I love my babies so much. I would never use those terms to place a yorkie (or any other animal) in a home. I will very much keep this in mind and try to remember it in the future. Like i said i am sure i got replies on that (2 that i know of) not sure if some where nice and if some was not...however i did not know better...really i did not! I never heard of this until now. So thank you for letting me know. Please forgive me! I am sorry....
even tho this is my second yorkie i have never heard of not using that term either, so don't feel bad. I don't know what terms you use or don't use, all i know is fancy is my beautiful baby & that is all that matters!! Don't worry about it!!
