| Donating YT 500 Club Member | I am so saddened to hear of your Yorkie's death. It is so tragic to lose a beloved pet much less so suddenly and unexpectedly. |

| All: Again, thanks for all the helpful advice and prayers. My wife and I are very grateful. I've seen lots of pets pass away over the years, but the wife and I are taking this one pretty hard. Just seems like no valid reason. Buster is back to his playful self this evening. We played with a stuff toy. Him and Ginger would always play tug-of-war with their various toys. This first 24 hours has been tough, but we'll make it. My wife is trying to make a on-line photo album of Ginger. We took two long walks and a long afternoon drive to help put things in perspective. |

| I am very sorry to hear of your loss...I can't imagine how y'all must feel. I too live in Georgia and one of my co-workers lost her puppy a couple of months ago. The symptoms sound similar. The vet told her that it was more than likely Parvo. He said that there has been a sudden outbreak of it in my area. The only place that her puppy had been was to Petco and to her home. I don't know if this was the case with little Ginger, but maybe this might help. If you don't mind me asking, what part of Georgia are you located? God bless.

| I am so sorry for your sudden loss! It brings back memories of the loss of our EJ. He had been out in the lawn playing for a time and then began vomiting and having diarrhea. We rushed him to the vet and he couldn't figure out what the problem was. Within 4 hours he was dead. EJ was about 7 pounds. It is such a shock and I completely understand your pain and sorrow. Everybody is different but I went right out and got another yorkie, it really eased my pain in keeping busy with the new puppy. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Sandy

| The 3 Musketeers Donating Member | I am sorry for you loss. The suddeness of it is very difficult to deal with. Thankfully you have your other Yorkie to lavish love upon. I know how devistating that it is to have a pup die suddenly. My Max (see pic under my name) suddenly had a heart attack during surgery to fix his front legs. One minute they are there and the next they are up at the rainbow bridge. I'm keeping you and your family in my prayers.

| All: No, we did not have any type of post mortem done. She did have that yorkie cough thing for her first six months. Our vet fixxed that at about 6 months old, but we did notice an occasional cough in the last few weeks. Maybe something was starting up again. Who knows. All I know, is that I got two very playful Yorkies playing on our King size bed at 10:00 PM; and by 2:00 AM one of them is dead. The vet did mention fluid in the lungs. We had a restful nights sleep now that we are past the first day. Day 2 seems much brighter. Now moving into the "acceptance" stage. My wife had a "special comforting moment" during the night and it brings us much peace. God's Will be done. This morning has us looking at the local papers want ads "pet section". I guess we are just dogs in the plural people. One does not seem enough. We live near Charleston, SC. Can anybody recommend a reputable place nearby for another Yorkie pup ? If so, please respond here or you can contact my email at wingmaster1999@yahoo.com Again, thanks to all on this board. |

| Hello JVM and to your wife. My prayers are with your family to feel peace over this lose. Our Husky got ill out of no where so we thought, at 5yrs old she had kidney failure and we never saw signs until the end and it was too late. Time does help ease the pain, you never forget and do not want to forget either, it has been since Oct 4th of 2005 for our Marbles and I can still cry over a picture of her and thinking of what a lady she was but the pain is not as bad and you can and will be able to function and not make Ginger but your every thought. Your family will be in my prayers
