HAHAHA that sounds like Roxy, she is so smart and is only 10 weeks old!! She pees on her pad, waits for her treat then pees again and waits. Little booger. Thankfully her treats are virtually fat free (1/2 a chicken jerky)

Oh my--my boys do this too. They really know how to work the system!

And when they use those puppy dog eyes...its very hard to resist!

Thor does this too. What I try to do is give progressively smaller treats. So the first pee gets a nice big one, then the second is smaller, then the third is tiny. He usually gives up at that point.

Now, I would say Milu is gaming the system, but if you saw the size of the treats this poor girl gets, you'd understand! They are barely visible to the human eye!

LOL!!!! geez! they are not THAT small!

the normal treats you buy from the store is for avg. size dogs, and avg dogs are a lot bigger than yorkies! so you need to cut them smaller! otherwise they'll be eating way too much treats!

Nice to know this behavior seems to be of the norm. Chipper can drip and drip if it means a treat.

LOL! I used to have this issue with Genghis. Now I only treat for poopy. Unless he starts having issues with peeing inside again I just praise him for peepee outside. Seems to work well, unless there are other puppies in the house.

Mayzie tried this trick just this morning.

She had taken to peeing on the floor just short of the tray her pad is in.

So I started giving her a little pc of gerber grads apple (freeze dried) whenever I see/hear her on the pad. So this morning, she goes and I give her the treat and then she promptly walked over hit the tray with her paw to make a sound and then came back to me for another treat. ---I don't think so, missy!

They are just so funny and so daggone smart!

I would give her the treat at least she is going to the pad and not on the floor...
