cheating the system!?! does your furbaby do this!?!?!? milu gets a treat when she goes potty on her pee pad. she's been cheating/abusing the system a lot lately?! she wouldn't just finish going #2 at once, she would go for a bit. come get a treat from me, and after i pick up her poop. she would go again to finish going #2, and then come get another treat from me. i feel a bit stupid. IS SHE OUTSMARTING ME!? i think milu is abusing me!:eek: she also never goes #1 and #2 at the same time any more! she would make sure that they are separate events so she could claim a treat for each event... milu is abusing me isn't she!?:animal36 |
She is one smart cookie! My roommates min pin did that, he would go outside and bark for a treat but not go, or lift up his leg and not go and expect a treat. |

Oh hello indeed. This is Marcel! He and Wylie get a treat whenever they pee on the pad....so Marcel will go over to his pad, stand there and see if I'm looking at him - if I am looking (I try not to), then he runs over and asks for his treat, without having peed :rolleyes:. Guess he assumes I was born yesterday :p. So now, I mix it up - when they pee on the pad, sometimes they get a treat, and sometimes they just get praise (but they're so freakin' cute that it's usually a treat :rolleyes:). BOY AM I SHOWING THEM OR WHAT. |
My boy Peanut did that when he was a puppy. They are much smarter then we think! Did you make it to the Yorkie meetup on sunday? |

CoCo cheats the system too. She goes outside and pees for me. Runs back to the door, and will continue to do so no matter how many times I put her back in the yard. She will then want a treat which I give her. Then we go back out and she does #2 for another treat. Kinda scary how quickly she picked up on that!! |
Chase does the exact same thing. I think he was almost completely trained at 5 months but we treated him each time he went. My husband noticed that Chase would drink and drink even though he wasn't thirsty just to pee again because he knew he was getting a treat. He also won't pee and potty at the same time. He secures two treats this way. It's a good thing that we take out some Innova from his meals and ration them off as treats or he'd be a chubby little man! He just turned one on Sunday and now only treat two times a day. These Yorkies are super clever!!!:animal36 |

Oops... do not feel bad.. my kacee was a pro at this.. would go out for a pp when he needed a treat and I started checking him.. he would be dry as a bone... these guys are very smart indeed... |

When ever my babies go potty out side they always get treats and often ill take them out and they wont pee and still expect a treat! Sometimes it makes me think that they think they get treats for just going out side! haha |
