I hope everyone is ok.

I also hope the yorkie(s) involved are ok as well. It sounds to me like maybe a person experienced in rescue or a vet tech should have gone along or something of that nature. The idea of free yorkies sounds like a dream. I would be just amazing if they were all healthy, but if this is not the case please let someone know that is better equipped to deal with this situation, getting a sick or injured yorkie can be financially and emotionally draining.

It's probably to late but I would also suggest leaving the name, number and location of the place you are going to see the dogs. That way everyone will know where you went. I always do this when checking out things I might buy, I also leave the date and time I left.

Well, several years ago I was given a free yorkie. She needed to be rehomed, very cute little thing. She was AKC, spayed, about 5 lbs. I ended up having to rehome her myself though, as she was very aggressive with my other female. She now lives with my good friend as an only dog and he is single so it works out great for them both. So yes, sometimes, people only want to find good homes for their dogs, I hope this is the case with this lady. Good luck!

Wow! I'm so glad to see so many safety contious yorkie talkers! You all have given her some awesome advise!!! I'm just checking in as well to see if there are any updates. I look at this as a rescue situation and I'm so excited that one or two breeding yorkies may be going to loving homes where they won't be just a money maker. Keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out. :hands:

I agree that sometimes it is on the up & up. I have been given 3 yorkies! The first was a 2yo female that was just beautiful, but she was agressive towards the 2 I already had. She now lives with an elderly lady and has a great life. The second was Halo. My breeder gave her to me because she knew she was going to be bigger and would be hard to sell. She had a little granddaughter that had a terminal illness and bred yorkies to help with medical bills. I did go back and pay her for Halo and my big girl now tips the scales at 14 +! Then there's my Lil Deuce Coupe....the lady that gave him to me just couldn't keep up with the "puppy" stage. He is now the light of DH's eyes and I couldn't imagine not having him. So....there are still good people out there; but, we do have to watch out for ourselves.

Can't wait to see how this turns out! :D
