I'd have no problems filling out a questionnaire. People who can't be "bothered" to fill out a questionaire are probably people you don't want.
I think it's great you do so much to make sure your pups go to good homes!

I do not think it is a big deal to fill out a questionnaire, after all it is your responsibility as a breeder to make sure that they go to the best possible home.

The questionnaire is just the beginning of the process to get one of my puppies. I google, yahoo, google earth, the person, run phone numbers, addresses, and contact everyone who can tell me about the buyer, their family, and how they treat their dogs. Is there a local shelter? Are you in a small town, I might talk to another breeder or one of your neighbors? Is this invasive? Maybe, but I expect you will do the same if your children/puppies are leaving the home for their permanent homes.

And yes, I ask for updates and photos all the time--I won't disappear after the puppy leaves.....

Keep your questionnaire.

No personally if you didn't have a questionaire on your website.I would be worried that lets me know that you care about your babies and who they go too. Keep on doing what your that process weeds some of the unresponsible pet owner from the responsible because if The way I feel if they don't have the patience to fill out a 15 min questionare how can they have patience for a 15 week puppy? Well maybe that is not the case with everyone but i wouldn't have a problem filling out a questionaire

I had to fill out a questionaire for Trouble and Chip, I had to almost beg the breeder for Chip. Don't worry about it, If they really love the puppy it would not bother them to fill out anything.

I did not see one thing too person on your questionaire. By the way that person acted, I thought you wanted to know salary and person health questions. LOL

I WOULD NEVER be offended by a questionaire. When we searched out our breeder (whom we questioned rigously) we wanted HER to have questions about us as well to show that she CARED where her puppies went. I think its a sign of a good caring breeder and if they dont like it, then they shouldnt have a new furbaby.

I cant believe that someone would be offended by having to fill out a questionaire. Personally, I would feel more comfortable with the breeder if I knew they really cared about where their baby went. Helen asked me questions when I contacted her and I really appreciated it. Please don't take down the questionaire. It is the best thing for your babies because you can ensure they go to a good home. In my opinion, someone who does not want to fill out a questionaire really has something to hide and they don't need one of your babies!

Geez I wish the Laci I bought Laci from did this, she didnt care about anything but Money!! During our conversations, I was trying to answer questions about myself because I had read on this site what to expect from the breeder... I said I have no small children, she didnt care, I work from home, she didnt care, I already went shopping, If you want my vets name I brought her a business card... she just wanted what was GREEN ...MY CASH. She was not helpful at all and has never ever checked back on Laci...

keep the questionaire. If someone doesn't want to take the time to fill it out, then how do you know they will take the time to properly take care of the puppy. I didn't have to fill one out but would have jumped at the chance.

I totally agree!!! I didn't have a problem filling those out or answearing any questions when I was looking for Trezzi. Heck, have you ever seen the questioners rescue places send?
