| I know there is no teacup designation, but I wouldn't take offense if someone asked me if my dog was a teacup. Those people are just ignorant about the breed. Teacup is more of an adjective than a breed specification anyway. LOL. I think a lot of people use it just as an easier way to describe their yorkies/dogs.. "mine is a teacup" rather than saying "mine is 3 pounds and smaller than the breed standard". (I don't call my dog a teacup though, to clarify.. haha.. just saying I understand why people do.) Anyway, even though there isn't a Teacup Standard, I think most people consider 2-4 pounds to be "teacup".. and anything under that is said to be a Micro T-Cup Pocket Microscopic dog. |

| Hi, so many non yorkie people don't have a clue at the special care our dogs recieve, such as the best foods with out a lot of fillers, that make them gain weight etc. Both of mine eat Holistic food and the best treats I can buy. They will never enjoy, lol, the taste of a Pupparoni, junk by product filled thing.only the best for them. Anyway some babies gain weight and are heavier because of what they eat, like people and carbs. My little girl is 3.2# her brother is 6.8# and the are littermates at 6.3mo. so go figure why there is difference in size. she weighted 4 oz at birth her was 5oz. I tell folks she was the runt of the litter and let it go at that. I recently had a Professionsal trainer tell me "oh yes, you have a cute little tea cup there" Not.. her dad was 5+ and her mom over 7. oh well they are my babies no matter what>> right Ladies......
