What will help too is take a tee shirt you've been wearing
and let her slept with it.
It has your scent on it and will make her more comfortable.
And keep a stuffed toy with her that she can curl up with.

I always keep soft food down and changed it out often for mine.
I also left some soft food with them overnite, incase they wanted some through the nite and then gave fresh first thing in the morning.

Also be sure to keep her warm and out of drafts.
and make sure she rest often. 15-20 mins of play time then rest time.
Good luck with her and let us know how the Vet visit goes.

I think your doing just fine. I am sure that Peanut is going to give you good, sound advice! It burns my hide to see babies go at such a young age but it isn't the first time nor the last. Thankfully you have the heart and know how to read up and get the proper instructions.. keep us posted!

Sounds like you're doing really great. Tatum was 9 weeks old when we got her but barely 1 lb. We just made sure she ate and drank well (even though that meant playing games with her food so that she'd eat it) and kept the Nutrical handy. I would give Nutrical after every "play session" just to be on the safe side.

Sometimes you just have no choice on how old you bring your puppy home but it sounds like you'll do just fine. Congrats! Can't wait to see some pictures!

I got Tucker when he was 7 weeks and he was fine. He wasnt as small as your little one is but he is a happy and healthy 9 pound pup. Just make sure the pup eats and drinks frequently and read about the signs of hypoglycemia and the right supplies on hand just in case.
I know that the right age is 12 weeks but sometimes that doesnt always happens.

You've been given great advise. The only thing

They make these kinds of toy;s for human newborns and there is
a heartbeat in them as well. Perhaps something like that
to put into her pen with her would bring her much comfort.

I have a litter of 3 females right now. They made 6 weeks on Sat. Mom does not want anything to do with them. They have been eating on their own since about 5 weeks. I plan on keeping them until they are 12 weeks but they are doing fine without mama. I got their mama and aunt at 6 weeks and we had no problems.
