| ![]() Well, many who come here have no intention of buying or selling a puppy. As a matter of fact, I've made several offline friends here, none of whom got their pups through yt or ever plan on breeding. That is just one small part of this site. However, I'm sure I've made my share of mistakes. I'm not a professional, I've never bred my dogs, I'm just a loving pet owner. And right now I'm feeling offended. ![]() I've respected you for many of your posts in the past, and I believe you have a lot to contribute, but I have to admit that I wish I'd never opened this thread.

Unfortunately, many buyers we might turn down are not in the right time of their life or situation to buy a Yorkie. I try to tell them why. If they go elsewhere, that's up to them but check out the ads particularly on Kijiji or even here of some for sale being rehomed because the owner can't handle it and the breeder won't take it back. I will also never sell for breeding and won't start now. I take mine back ANYTIME in its lifetime. I got one at 14 years of age when the owner died unexpectedly of a heart attack and the husband couldn't cope with the dogs. i only had my little girl for another 5 months, spent $500 on vetting her when I got her home but she had a great 5 months. I helped him find homes for their other two dogs, different breeds.

I like the fourm for the showing thread and others wins, brags, ect...or how they do something in particular. Even grooming and what grooming products some use ect....seeing pet pictures and the just the pure joy of owning this breed. People sharing the love of yorkies whether it be their pet or the show dog. I come here for that mostly...I get so annoyed from the breeding section.......general questions pose no threat but actual questions that are arised on here that should be directed to a vet but are asked of pet owneres instead....that's when I shake my head...

| ![]() well i just want to say that i am new to yorkie talk. and joined to get info from the experienced yorkie owners as this is my first yorkie. even though i have researched info its like being a mother of a child for the first time in which we wouldnt say, i hope ,to a mother of a human baby if you need to ask questions you shouldnt be a mother and i feel sorry for your baby. we all learn from others experiences we dont have to take their advice but sometimes other people have had same problems and just share what helped for them. also i see most of the people with sick pups are usually asking what can they do UNTILL they can get to a vet. at first when i read this i felt ashamed i had been asking for advice then thought again and said no im proud because i want to be the best mommie to my baby which may not be coming from a breeder for 2000 .00 sorry if that puts someone out of business but this pup even though may not be of the best quality still needs someone to care and love for her as she has been born already .if that means i have vet bills up the ... then so be it. i had a poodle for 20 years i didnt give her back when she was brought home with worms and needed iv s nor would i give back a human baby for a illness .you love them as they are and i would not say my child was ill because my family was not the best of genetics .sorry to go on about this and im really not trying to be rude to OP at all this is just how i feel .i hope OP does cont. to post threads as im sure she has needed info for us all. thanks to all of yt for there help and love of ANIMALS not just yorkies . but the way i look at it is that by helping those people. even if you think they are stupid irresponsible idiots (or whatever you may think of them) you are really helping their dogs. a lot of dogs lives are improved/saved because their owners are able to get help here. yes, maybe a lot of the questions they ask should be directed at a vet instead of posting here. but how many times were we able to convince those people to please take their dogs to the vets. ![]() the goal is to help all dogs. and if you must help the stupid irresponsible people in order to help the dog. why not! ![]() | |

| ![]() im not trying to come off rude or start anything but even the appology or thank you sounds stuffy when breeders behave in the manner that you put off, it pushes people further away from the so called perfect breeders...for one you are judging someone and rejecting them, and they arent going to want to deal with "reputable breeders" such as yourself, they are going to think all reputable breeders are like you. so they find a breeder they are comfortable with. i dont care how great you are at it now..we all start at the bottom, we all have to learn it..great teachers make great students who make great teachers for the next group of students..you started at the bottom to. you werent born a "reputable breeder" there are great pet owners on here there are great breeders on here...you are juging the marjority of this site on some post from people who havent been taught...probably because some snooty breeder hung up on them so they went to the hobby breeder. i feel bad for who ever sponsered you, im sure they feel let down by your ungrateful responses. if you have better things to do then please do them. i cant for the life of me understand why you are on this site...you say its to help and educate but your comments today dont show that. you cant teach if you feel so negative about the group thats listening. i myself wouldnt deal with a breeder who talks (types??) the way you have.. knowing more and behaving like you are better because of that doesnt make you great. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | ![]() There are things I'd like to say regarding some of the comments in this thread, however, I will refrain - because I don't want to have to suspend myself. For those of you who think YT is a community where you can make friends, ask questions, get support, learn, and be entertained - PLEASE continue what you do so well here to make this place such a wonderful community. For those who apparently think otherwise, why not take a look through the Sick forum or the Health forum and see how many yorkies have been helped, where some vets have utterly failed. It happens here all the time - contrary to what is implied in this thread. To see comments that imply otherwise insults those owners who've both received and given help. Or just visit any forum, for that matter, to see the 48,000 great members we have here and what they add to this community. My thanks go out to them for making this such a great place. This thread is now closed.
