| Delilah is being spayed today... I'm SO nervous! :( I don't know why it scares me so much. I'm just terrified that something will go wrong. I've been awake since 4:30 this morning, worrying. Then of course they make you sign a consent form, which reminds me that this is serious surgery and things could go wrong. So that only makes me worry more!!!! I love that little doggie sooo much and my heart would be broken without her. I knew I could come here because you all understand just how much these little kids mean to us. Everyone else acts like I'm overreacting (they don't come out and say that but it's the feeling I get). Any prayers you can throw Lilah's way (and mine!) would be greatly appreciated!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am the same way, and it is great to have somewhere to come and get prayers and good thoughts from people who know how you feel. My vet knows what a worry wart I am so they do my babies first and my vet calls me as soon as they are out of surgery and then again when they are awake. Maybe you can ask for them to call you so you can rest easier. I will keep Delilah in my prayers. I always wanted to name one of my Yorkies Delilah, I love that name.

| I'll get my furbaby spayed next month... I've been thinking about this for the past few months, worrying although the vet said everything would be fine. I'm bringing her to the vet next month. I believe Delilah would be fine! Please update us |

| My thoughts are prayers are with you both today!! Please keep us posted on how she is doing. I dread having to get my babies altered. Anytime they have to go under makes me nervous. You can always count on YT to help you through tough times with your babies.

| Thank you for your prayers and kind words. They mean a lot! I'm trying to keep my mind focused on other things and that seems to help. Until she creeps back into my mind and I'm scared again!!! This day can't end soon enough.

| My Prayers are with you and she is going to be fine. I am sure I will be the same way when Pixie gets spayed. It is a very scary thing. You are just a good Mom and you love your baby and God knows that and she will be back to herself in no time!!

| Like all of you, I was extremely worried about Rio getting spayed. I dreaded it for months. Well, finally did it last week and I'm so relieved! She is tiny (2.6 lbs) so I was particularly worried about the anesthesia. Not to mention I work in an operating room so I know all the things that could go wrong. But all went well and she is recuperating nicely. I will pray for your furbaby but please be assured everything will be fine! Veterinarians do spay/neuter surgeries every day!! Your little one will be so much healthier in the long run, with an almost 0% chance of mammary cancers. Here's to long lives with our furbabies! |

| Thanks! It helps to hear that others feel the same way, have been through it, and it all came out fine. I need to keep reminding myself that they do these surgeries every day and most turn out the way they're supposed to! Any advice though for tomorrow? I have to work, so she'll be crated all day. Should I get one of those cone things to go around her head to make sure she doesn't lick the incision? I'll have no way to keep an eye on her all day, so that is my next worry. Oooh I didn't even really think about that until just now. Is it okay to leave her home alone all day??? What if something happens??

| She should come home with the e-collar already on. I just kept clothes on Missy and she would leave the incision alone, that way she didn't need the collar. I know how anxious you feel. I clearly remember going through this with Missy, and now I'll have to go through it with my new baby girl in 4 months. My only suggestion to you is try not to let her know that you are worried. She will sense that, and you want her to be as calm as possible. Save the anxiety to vent to us after you've dropped her off. Hoping that all goes well (I'm sure it well) and please keep us updated!

| Maggie was in a bit of pain the night of her surgery so we gave her some pain meds that night but didn't need it the next day. She was quiet the 2nd day so being in her crate should be fine. Is there anyway that someone can let her out while you are at work.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I put onesies on Cali and Roxie that I got in the baby section at Walmart and they worked great. The cones are so uncomfortable. Hope you hear soon.

| The onesies are a great idea! I think I'll do that! I heard back from the vet and now I'm worried all over again. She said she is in a lot of pain and they don't normally see them in so much pain so soon after surgery. So what is that supposed to mean??? Is something else wrong that they aren't aware of? She made it seem like it wasn't a big deal so maybe I'm reading too much into it but I'm still SCARED!!!!!!
