| doggie door Do any of your yorkies have doogie doors? Genghis has one that leads to a patio, where we put a patch of grass that he does his business on. It's the type of pet door that fits into the sliding glass door and is not a permanent fixture. Anyway yesterday we got a letter from HOA saying that we need to submit an application for the door, wtf? it's just like patio furniture, it can be removed. Why should we have to submit an application for this? I'm so frustrated. We've only lived here since mid march and we've already gotten two letters from HOA. I think we are paying HOA too much and they have too much time on their hands... |

| Oh girl, believe me... I totally understand! I want one of those doors too actually! When I moved into my condo 3 years ago from my single family house I was shocked by all the times and things I got written up for! It was nuts!!! I felt like I was being nitpicked out of there like someone didn't like the fact that I lived there alone or something. I got written up because my dogs barked when I was NOT HOME! Hows that??? LOL Like I can do ANYTHING to fix that??? ggeezzzz Just call them and tell them its removable and they should be ok with it. My condos wants their doors to always look uniform too but Im sure a removable door just there for the summer won't be a problem! Good Luck!

| I just get the sick feeling that it had to be one of my neighbors that sent in the complaint. Otherwise how would they see it so quickly? I had my husband call the person on the letter, he's much more pc than me about handling that sort of thing. Attached is the door we have for the pup. |

| I've had a door like that for years ... used it in the apartment for other dogs before we got our own house ... then used it there. And all the dogs use it. I can't imagine anyone having a hissy fit about one of those. They're not permanent, and definitely not unsightly. Perhaps they just wanted to give you permission first? Some HOA's are like that: they just want to be able to "tell" you it's OK ... on a power trip of some sort. |
