Oh, dear Lord in Heaven. This is so sad! All of them will be in the prayers of Rini's cuties and Whispersmom. This is so very heartbreaking and unexpected...

We will keep them in our prayers. Little Bear, Turbo and Nugget send yorkie kisses. I have to say I have never heard of anything like this. You'd think the vet would be checking on the dog every half hour or so following surgery. It takes quite some time for circulation cut off to end up in amputations, it is not something that takes place if the blood flow is only cut off for a short period of time. One has to wonder what went on at the vet's after surgery. I sure hope they can save this little one.

Update I spoke with Windy again, and poor little Lida did lose 2 more of her toes. Lets all pray that she can somehow keep the pad of her foot. She sounds like quite a little trooper and I,m sure Windy is so proud of her. Windy's aunt is so kind to make Lida a pair of booties so that when she walks her stride will be even (Lida is now going to have front legs that are 2 different lengths).
