Senior Yorkie Talker | Love this thread! I was cracking up reading this b/c all of mine have stolen or eaten one of everything mentioned! Gwen (Yorkie) loves dirty socks, you take them off she takes them one at a time and "kills" them by shaking them to death of course, then she comes back for the mate and repeats normally putting them next to each other when she is done. She will hop into the laundry hamper if she is in the bathroom to help herself also! She used to love tissues but she's now onto Q-tips. I had to buy a bathroom trash can with a lid to keep her out of it! Rambo (Jack Russell/Miniature Pinscher) LOVES pens and medical tape, it was so bad when he was a puppy that we still call medical tape "puppy crack". And Hannah (Golden Retriever) loves dirty panties, again helps herself to the hamper even when they are buried in the bottom and also is the reason that my husband is on his 4th wallet in 3 years because she eats the leather back off of them....after carefully pulling the money, pictures and credit cards out and laying them on the floor in a pile...can someone explain that one to me? And Rambo has taught Gwen recently about medical tape and pens as well....lovely! At least they enjoy themselves lol.

| Wow, all these stories are hilarious. I'm glad i dont have an underwear eater on my hands LoL Marley has done the whole tissue thing too. I was on the computer and it was too quiet so i walked over to the couch and sure enough, she had ripped a tissue to tiny microscopic pieces. Gotta love them! |

| Sandee loves the newspapers. you would think she could read. I guess it is a good thing she cannot reach the toilet paper. |

| Sophie loves to shred tissues, too. A few people mentioned envelopes-- she is in HEAVEN if a piece of mail falls on the ground and loves to pick it up and carry it around. She doesn't shred it, just prances around with it in her mouth-- cutest little mail carrier ever! She was horrible about snatching anything that fell when she was a baby, so I taught her that "leave it" means she can't pick up what's on the floor. What I love about it is that now if something drops, she looks right at me to see if it's okay to pick it up first. She also knows to "drop it" on command... which comes in handy when she's found something I didn't see. Yorkies are so smart, aren't they? Seriously, I've had dogs all my life and as much as I loved them, none were as smart as Sophie! |
