				 | I never gave a yorkie a thought until my son's friend offered me his. His mothers friend had gotten a divorce and could not give her the care she needed. My son's friend decided to get her but soon realized he could not care for her either. So when they told me about her, Maggie, I said sure, why not. At the time we had our Lab. Well Maggie stole everyone's heart included our Labs. Unfortunately, being so unused to tiny dogs, she got out when we weren't looking and was killed about 6 months after we got her. So , I immediately started looking again and found Harley and Isabel. We had them for 6 years until Harley got killed by another dog. I couldn't leave Isabel alone so I found Moses. They get in your heart and home and even though they drive me crazy at times, I can't imagine our house without them. |

				 | I knew I wanted a smaller dog, and I started doing some research on what dog I thought would be best for my family. Once I joined YT I knew for sure I wanted a yorkie.

				 | I've had dogs all my life. Most of them were larger but did have one small dog too. I love large dogs but we really don't have the yard for one, besides I really prefer them in the house for companionship. I started researching dog breeds and came across Yorkies and thought they were absolutely adorable. Also read that they love being with people. We already had a Beagle mix whose brother had passed away and was looking for a I opted for a bigger Yorkie, but he seems to be turning out to be smaller than I thought. They still get along and play wonderfully together though. Getting a Yorkie was the best decision I ever made. Would definitly like to get another one someday.
