| I get that kind of crap whether my dogs have on apparel or not. If I don't hear "Rat" or "get a real dog" then I haven't seen any people. I live in AZ so clothes are not wise for my dogs, but my one Yorkie mix does wear sunglasses when we're walking in bright sun. I figure if the sun hurts my eyes, then it's bound to hurt his as well. Small dogs can live 20 years and older dogs do go blind here pretty regularly. The comments are rude, but my little guy's eyesight is more important than their lame opinion. Worse were the comments I got when the dog on my avatar got CRF from dog food made from tainted Chinese wheat germ. When I took the mix for his walk, she'd want to go to but she couldn't keep up anymore and also was supposed to stay well-hydrated. I bought a papoose style carrier and took her along. One lady even blamed her big dog's aggression toward my other dog (the one walking) because "he's never seen a dog being carried." Not that it was any of her business, I explained why she was being carried and she seemed chagrined. I should have felt bad for embarrassing her, but she got what she deserved. |

| Thor's Human Donating Member | Ha, if a raincoat and shoes shocked people, Thor would be stopping traffic with sunglasses. I'm tempted.A question about vision generally. Thor's hair is in the "awkward" phase - his bangs are too long to part AND his whiskers are sticking up. Someone asked if he was part Shih Tzu today. Do you think this might hurt his vision? I can't tell if it bothers him or not.

| Personally, Maddy does not wear boots or shoes of any kind. I think they look a little silly. But thats just me! I think that lady must live a very sheltered life if a pup in a raincoat and boots would set her off. Thor is too cute for words and looks just adorable in his rainy day outfit!! |

| No, QuickSilver, you are NOT being a monster. It is very obvious that little Thor is much loved and is extremely well cared for. It is your business and yours alone whether or not he wears raincoats, booties, pj's or even a cute little pink dress -- I guess a California Boy could be a cross dressing dog . It never ceases to amaze me how complete strangers stick they nose where it does not belong. |
