| Am I just CRAZY? I wanted to ask all of the Yorkie Lovers here a question… Do you find that non-dog owners do not seem to understand the relationships we have with our furbabies? I have a friend who says I talk about Loli as if she is my own child. To me Loli is my child, my baby. My friend always says “Let me remind you she is a dog!” I feel like she doesn’t understand that “pets” are not just that, they are family members. Have you had a similar experience? |

YT 1000 Club Member | your right they don't understand. that's why it's fun to come here where others relate to you and how much your baby means to you!

YT 1000 Club Member | Oh and by the way, those people who don't have a dog don't know what they're missing out on.

| Oh good Lord yes! Even my best friend thinks I'm crazy. She chalks it up to me being too kind-hearted because up until I bought two yorkies I have always rescued. |

| They won't know what it's like until they own a dog. Until then, you can always come to YT and we can all relate! We won't think you're crazy... well maybe we're all a little crazy but it's alright.

| My stepchildren don't understand. They have "DOGS". They're good to them, but they stay outside most of the time, have their own beds, etc. My little Tucker is my baby. We were going to visit them in May. Tucker is only 5 months old. They haven't seen him yet, but they know he's a Yorkie, and that he weighs less than 4lbs. I also keep him sqeaky clean. They said we could kennel him or keep him on the porch. No way, no how! We're not going. |

Thor's Human Donating Member | I never knew how much I could love a dog until I got Thor. I agree, people who don't understand are missing out.

| I totally know how you feel. I had a friend in highschool who used to never call Chloe by anything else but "Dog". Example being: "hi dog" "get down dog" "come her dog" ect. I used to always reminder she has a name but she would still call her dog so i just gave up. I mean yes she is a dog, but she is also my baby and she deserves so much more respect than that.

| I completely agree!! Most everyone thinks I'm crazy for getting a second dog. "Why?? You already have one?" But, I also see my stepmother, who is an AVID animal-lover with no birth children of her own, who doesn't care at all about my kids. I send her pics of my kids and get no reply. Yet I've been sending her pics of Lolly and I get a reply every time. So, I think it can go both ways. Either way, as someone posted before me, they don't know what they're missing out on.
