I totally know how you feel. I had a friend in highschool who used to never call Chloe by anything else but "Dog".
Example being: "hi dog" "get down dog" "come her dog" ect.

I used to always reminder she has a name but she would still call her dog so i just gave up. I mean yes she is a dog, but she is also my baby and she deserves so much more respect than that.
