Good to know!! That's what it sounds like after reading this thread. A dog like that is exactly what I want. My Shih Tzu now doesn't give a crap where I am unless he's scared by something, then he's right on me. I have to practically force him to sit by me!!!

Also the more you "coddle" them as a baby (which isn't hard to do b/c of their cuteness) the more attached you both get...

it sounds like she was describing romeo!!!

i have no problem with him following me around at all - except for when he was really young and got stepped on! it used to be that i could not sit down anywhere without him wanting to be in my lap but he outgrew that. when i go to the bathroom he sits outside the door. if i pick up my keys he comes running thinking he is going for a ride! if he is sleep and i leave my office for too long he will come looking for me!

annoying - no way! i love him too much to call him anything like that.

sounds like she needs a cat!! then see how she likes that attitude!

My Noelle is exactly the same way! And I love it!

She follows me everywhere but there is one time I wish she would find something else to do: When I decide to relax in a nice bubble bath with the jets on and just lie back, she isn't able to see me(she's too short) I don't know whether she thinks I disappeared or what has happened to me but it is one of the seldom times she barks. I poke my head up and say, "it's ok, I'm right here" but when I lay back down on my bath pillow she starts all over again. I have to get my husband to come and get her or cut my bath super short.

But other than that, I adore my little shadow.

Same here with the whole bath thing!

Although I have to be careful to NOT let him bark b/c of the neighbors... I don't want them complaining and then get fined...

hahahahaha I do this too.. just to show BF they will ALWAYS love me more!

The only time my boys annoy me is when they are begging while we are eating dinner. Especially when I have company. I have never condoned this and send them to their bed in the kitchen when we eat, but they like to push their limits to see if they can sneak over. I catch them multiple times... that gets annoying!

I love that my yorkie follows me around. I walk around the house in circles sometimes to show my husband that she likes me more

she is ALWAYS my little shadow. If she's not at my feet, something bad must have happened. (Or my DH has accidentally shut her in my bedroom, lol)

She does whine and bark sometimes, but I love it because that's her way of 'asking for permission' to jump up. I find this hilarious. I never taught it to her, but if I sit down on the couch or a chair, she'll sit at my feet and bark bark bark until I say "Ok come on up" and then she'll jump onto my lap happy as a clam.

Let me put it this way,

If Buddy is not on me, under my feet or staring at me I go to look for him
because it's not normal any other way. If he's missing he is always
up on my vanity in my bathroom. He climbs up from the toilet seat
and can't get down. Happens about once a week. It's the ONLY time
he is not within view.
Looks like they are all the same.

P.S.
So you don't worry my bedroom door is always closed when
I'm not home so he's not up there all day.

Too bad the lad y feels that her dog is "annoying" she is missing out on the wonderful part of owing a dog!~ The love the dog brings in so pure , and she does not get it.

My Suzi is a doll baby. She's always there . Suzi is on my bed no matter how early or late I get up in the am, then I am smothered with sweet kissess every morning. She is so excited too! It's wonderful! My Darling Suzi knows how to open the bathroom door when it's closed... No privacy for me. LOL. 3 pushes of thee door and Suzi flies in , and i'm trying to go potty ! She's so proud of herself too! Yep, she goes everywhere I go. i'll be taking a bath, and than I will have a visitor. A little face pops up, and there she is, looking at me. She's so cute. Her little paws on the tub, saying hi there, what you doing? She's done this a few times , always so funny. Anther thing Suzi always does is wait for me to come out of the shower, every day, she is laying on my bed! She knows that I go to my room after a shower, so she is there! I think it's too cute. LIttle smarty.
Suzi is always ready to jump on me anytime I sit on the couch, ready to play and rough house. And I absoultely crazy, in love with my little Yorkie dog. She is so special to me. Suzi has brought my life joy and happiness . She is a service dog, and I adore her .
