| Won't "go" outside when its cold! HeLP! Does anyone else have the problem of their yorkie not going potty outside when its cold? I will take Marley out in the AM when i first get up and she will pee but i she wont poop outside when its cold. I take her inside and she assumes the "about to poop" position and i snatcher her up and take her outside again and she wont go again, then back inside and she assumes the position again!! I am at a loss for words here and my husband just wants to complain about it. I have a sweater/hoodie that she wears to go outside in to keep her warm, im thinking about buying boots to keep her feet extra warm. But she just wont poop outside when its cold !! lol any help here would be appreciated. I don't want to stand out in the cold forever but i do stay out there a good amount of time to make sure she has time to sniff a spot out.. but to no avail, its just to pee lol HeLp MeEeEE!! |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Sorry to tell you but your going to have to stand out there or walk her about a bit. Once you give in they will keep doing that. I bundle them up and take them out. Toby goes fast and sometimes Zoey takes her time. So since he is done fast I put him back inside and walk her back and forth a couple minutes and let her know I mean business and she gives in. They are very manipulative little buggers so keep that in mind. They know that those beady little eyes get us.

| Our go-out-to-potty door is on the north side - so when its cold and windy - I'll give Bailey a choice to either go out the south door or down stairs under the deck where a concrete wall blocks the wind and rain....

Zoey will go in the rain but she is scared spitless if there is thunder. Then she will just cower.

| Jackson really does not care about snow, rain, cold, heat, anything... he just loves being outside. So he never has any problem with that - sorry I can't help! LOL.
