| Awwww This is my first post at yorkietalk. I was dog sitting a very cute yorkie for 10 days, and his mom just came to pick him up today. I miss him very much I had dogs back home in Japan, but this was the first time for me to watch indoor dog. This Yorkie, Guinness, was so cute. He was with me 24/7. I brought him to work everyday. He took trains and buses with me everyday. I loved his company. He slept right next to me... Awwwwww I miss him very much. I have to ask my landlord if I can have a yorkie. I know she didn't want us to do that, but she is a yorkie owner.. I am hoping she will say yes. I live in Boston area, and thinking about getting a yorkie in the spring if it is okay with my landlord.. I would love to learn more about Yorkie and find out as many breeders as possible in the area to be ready to buy a dog sometime. |

I know how you feel I'm dog sitting for a good friend of mine. She will be back tomorrow. Including Mollie & her 3 babies. I have 6 yorkies in my house right now & a Shih Tzu. Needless to say it has not been very quite. I don't mind. They are all good dogs. I hope that you will be able to get a yorkie all of your own. Good Luck.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | If your landlord is a Yorkie owner, you're home free. She will understand. If not, move. In the meantime, you ought to see if the Yorkie you watched needs a more regular dogsitter. Most Yorkie owners I know prefer leaving their dogs with friends than kennels.

| We decided to rent for a while because we're in an area that's new to us and we know it's hard to find the best places to buy when you don't know the area. Anyway, our landlady said no indoor pets. I don't blame her; the house is almost new and very beautiful. But we have saved them thousands of dollars by noticing, checking and reporting small problems that were growing. We try to live in the house the same way we lived in our own home back in Oklahoma. Anyway, because we're such great renters they don't want to lose us and when I asked the landlady again about a dog because I was lonely (not having any friends in the area yet), she said yes. So be a REALLY good tenant, and maybe your landlady will change her mind, too. I'm so grateful to have my sweet Susan! |

| Thanks, Thanks everyone for your replies. I really had such a difficult time sleeping last night. I was up until 4 a.m. Then when I woke up, I was looking for Guinness ... but couldn't find him Of course, he went back home and not here. Very sad. I am sure he is happy at home though since he has a sister (Shi Zu.. I do not know how to spell). I hope he misses me a bit. I am sure getting Yorkie is not just happy thing. There must be some challenges too if you don't study about them in advance. So that is why I am here. I hope to learn more so I can train the yorkie when I get one. This little one was not potty trained so he peed a couple times at my apartment, not on his pee pad. He was the cutest, so I didn't mind cleaning. But I would like to learn how to train dogs on that. In Japan, I had a couple Shiba Inu. They stayed outdoor, so it's a bit different. I always wanted an indoor dog, but in Japan at times, most of the dogs were kept outside of the house. It's sad if I think of it now. Anyway... I think I will keep coming here until I feel confident enough to buy a yorkie and also after getting one, will come for all your support Arigato. |
