| ![]() You really need to find someone to stay with your Yorkie. This issue will come up again and again during the next 15 to 18 years that you have this little one, so you might as well get set up for it now. My Edie is almost 9, and I have never left her alone overnight. It's part of being a pet owner...... |

Thor's Human Donating Member | ![]() I boarded Thor recently with a place that doesn't really "board", per se - he spent the day in their doggy daycare, and at night he went home with one of the staff. It was quite expensive -- $40 / night, and that doesn't include the daycare. Maybe you can find something like this for your little guy.

| ![]() Personally, if you have someone stop by to let your puppy out a few times while youre gone...it should be fine. To the person who said "Would you ever leave your child alone?"...I'm sorry, but I WORK. My dog does just fine ALONE at home. The fire reference is just a little much in my book... that could happen to anyone who works outside the home for a living. Seriously. Also, some animals get anxiety when they are in strange places. Your dog may be happier at home in their own surroundings. Plus, I imagine if he's booked a hotel room youre going to go out on a date (dinner, drinks, dancing, movie...or whatever) thats not exatly dog friendly. AND THATS OK!!! Go out, have fun, your dog will be just fine if you have someone let it out a few times. Nuff said... |

| ![]() Thank you all for the great responses!!! The hotels we're looking at that are in downtown chicago that were pet friendly were all 21 and over to check in. I'm 19 and my boyfriend is 20. Chloe barks A LOT! So sneaking her in would be out of the question!! I'm trying to persuade a friend of mine to take her for the night but if worse comes to worse I plan on leaving her here. She's a year and a half and she's spent at most 10 hours alone at home. When I come back she's fine and she goes potty on the potty pad. I love her to death but I know my boyfriend won't pay the fines if we get caught with her!! And don't judge me I'm a good mommy I haven't gone on one vacation since I've had her and haven't slept a day apart from her! |

| ![]() For those of you that sneak your Yorkies into hotels, grocery shopping etc. What type of bag exactly are you using? I only have a Petfly's carrier, and it's not very discreet.

| ![]() No, I don't think I could or would leave Winston alone over night. I would be too worried about him to enjoy my night out.
