| I have fallen in love I want a bigger Yorkie... I really, truly do... but... I've fallen in love with a puppy who is only estimated to be just over 5 pounds. At 8 weeks he was 1 pound, 10 ounces. I am sooo not sure that I am ready for a 2 pound puppy! But I keep going back to his picture. Who could NOT love the little guy! You can see him here: puppies his name is Edgard. I also really like Ethan but he is wayyyy too small. Ahhh.. I may have to go and see them...

| They are really cute. I like the name Edgard. If you go see them make sure to bring enough money for both = you never know I think 5 pounds is a wonderful size.

| Right, & he's not a young puppy which means less "frustation".

| That is what I was thinking.. However, I worry about the quality of health of a puppy mill puppy... My family is pleading with me that if I "must" get a dog to buy from a reputable breeder (which, other than a rescue, is the only places I'd buy from anyways.) Think I'll see how much she wants for little Edgard and go from there

| I'm with the above poster. Lily was a little over one pound at eight weeks too, and she's weighing about eleven now. And is an absolutely PERFECT size! So you never know!

| You don't pick your puppy, he picks you. I'm really not kidding. If you feel pulled to a puppy then it is meant to be. No ifs ands or buts. |

| I agree with that last post! My friends and family say that my baby Jayla is not the cutest pup I own, but when I met her she was outgoing, bright and inquisitive and very people-oriented. We bonded like crazy right away and she's brought me so much joy and happiness. She wakes me up by (literally!) kissing and cuddling in the morning, she respects my authority, and she works hard to please me. Jayla is fiesty and strong willed, even "talks back" to others -- not me. But I wouldn't have her any other way. My two boy Yorkies are sweet and mild-mannered and I love them. But Jayla is the apple of my eye. I knew when I met her she was the right dog for me and I've been 100% right!

| I have decided to put in an adoption application for little Oliver. He has been playing on my heart and mind since the night I saw him. Yorkie's typically get adopted quickly, especially ones that look as good as Oliver does and are healthy, but I am keeping my fingers crossed. Even if he doesn't get to come live with me, I just pray he finds a safe and loving forever home that he so deserves. He's 3 hours away from me, so I am hoping they will let someone from another organization do the home visit - I have a co-worker who works for Precious Paws. We shall see!

| Good luck with Oliver... he looks like and according to what his foster mom wrote sounds like he will be a great buddy to have around the house. Thanks for rescuing another furbabby. John |

| Oliver is very very cute and looks like he is a fun guy. When I look at Yorkies I look for personality and Oliver sure has a boat load from that picture. I agree with the poster who said you don't pick a puppy, they pick YOU. When I was first introduced to my Yorkie I knew I would have her forever. that was 6 months ago and I was just thinking this morning how did we ever manage without her. Good Luck, I hope you get to meet him.

Congratulations on your wise decision. I do hope Oliver can be yours before the day is over. Not all puppymill dogs are sick. If he's in a foster home now I am sure he has been checked over by a vet and is healthy. You won't be sorry with a 9lber. The big ones are no different than the little ones except for their size. They also have less health problems and just the best to hug. Finger's crossed for you and Oliver. | |

| Thank you all! I sent in the application this morning, they say it can take up to 5 days for a call... so now, I wait. The more I think about it the more I hope and pray I can bring Oliver home!!!!
