Perhaps Admin, or one of the Moderators here, moved it to a section better suited to your thread. They are the only ones who can move a thread from section to section.

To start a new thread, go to the forum you would like the thread to be in, and on the top left hand side of the page you will see the words, "New Thread", click on that.

Hi! I'm pretty new to this site, I made the account a while ago and only used it a few times. I got my first dog last May, he's a yorkie of course lol and his name is Toby. He just turned 1 on Feb.19th (only three days before my birthday!). I love him more than anything, he is the sweetest most affectionate animal and he really has changed my life! Go Yorkies! )

Hello I am new here. First post. The picture is not my bundle of joy I left my camera at home. I will have some pictures tomorrow. I have a Yorkie who is 6 months old today. I bought him In December 2009 from a puppy store. (Don't shoot me) I didn't know about buying from a puppy store vs a breeder. He check out fine with his health so I think I did okay. Vet said the puppy store usually don't have any problems with the puppies they sell.
My terrier is Jack he is right at 5lbs. He is a very pickie eater and that is what brought me here. I am looking for ideas or what to do with his pickieness.
Pet Smart probably knows me by first name now cause of all the food I have taken back. I was having to feed him chicken and rice just to get him to eat. Now all he wants is the chicken. This is home broiled chicken not store bought. I know this can't be good just to eat chicken all the time. I even tried grinding up the many dry dog foods I have purchased and sprinkling on the chicken or mixing in and he'll turn away and not eat it. He come to me on Nature choice quit eating that and I have tried I believe everything that is supposed to be the best and he will not eat nothing but chicken. Anyone have any advice. And do I have this on the wrong thread? I have many more questions too.

Don't worry, my gun's not loaded, but I hope you become an advocate for supporting good breeders, not just pet stores are to blame, lots of millers and byb's sell on websites now. Have you seen the diet forum, it can help with food related questions. Yorkie Health & Diet - YorkieTalk.com Forums - Yorkshire Terrier Community Joey was a fussy eater too, and I started doing the chicken and rice thing too, he'd pick out the chicken! I finally found a commercial food he would eat, but it was panic time for me, because I didn't want to wait over 12 hours without food, he was too little. We had to compromise on the food a bit, he wouldn't eat the highest rated food, but we found one that's medium rated, and he loves. Since then I've read that many people have had success with sprinkling a little Parmesan cheese on the food to get them to eat. Once your dog reaches 4lbs, you don't have to worry so much about hypoglycemia, so they can hold off longer without eating.

First take look at the index page and see which forum your question would best be answered. YorkieTalk.com Forums - Yorkshire Terrier Community. If you just want to introduce yourself and your dog, the General Forum is great for that. Once you found the forum that's best for your question, go to that, and you will see the words "New Thread" on the top, left side of the page. Click on that.

Hi MsJenn, welcome to Yorkie Talk and the wonderful world of being owned by a Yorkie.
There are a lot of very caring and knowledgeable people here.
You can never ask too many questions.
Don't be nervous. If you ask a question here that might be better asked in another forum, someone will point you in the right direction. Just feel free to ask anything.
