I finally found a commercial food he would eat, but it was panic time for me, because I didn't want to wait over 12 hours without food, he was too little. We had to compromise on the food a bit, he wouldn't eat the highest rated food, but we found one that's medium rated, and he loves. Since then I've read that many people have had success with sprinkling a little Parmesan cheese on the food to get them to eat. Once your dog reaches 4lbs, you don't have to worry so much about hypoglycemia, so they can hold off longer without eating.
