| Carpet smells like urine...help!! Hi everyone! I wondered what you all used on your carpets if your little one happens to have an accident on it. I have two puppies right now, and I think I smell the faint smell of urine when I walk into the room and have tried a couple of things, but no great miracles! Help me, please!!

| They have those urine finders. A lot of people on here also recommend Nature's Miracle. Edit: Nature's Miracle - Product Template Maybe you could use that in a carpet steam cleaner and clean your carpets. Edited Again: Nevermind I read the FAQ and it said you can't use it in a steam cleaner but you can put it on the spots then clean them. I think it would be best to get a urine finder then put the Nature's Miracle on the spots and clean. Viola!

| When you have two dogs and carpet esp if they aren't trained yet it's hard to catch them all the time so a lot goes unnoticed Get a good steam cleaning and a good pet deodorizer and then try to see where the pups are going pee on your carpet It's most likely in one or two areas and keep cleaning there every once in a while with Nature's Miracle or another pet deodorizer

| I'm old fashioned...I use white vinegar. The study in my house has a sisal carpet laid over concrete and it had pet stains from the previous owner. I had the maid wash it with a scrub brush and carpet cleaner, then vacuum out the water and suddenly my whole study smelled like pee! We misted the carpet with white vinegar several times and within a couple of days the smell was gone. If you actually find a puddle on the floor or wet spot on a carpet, after you have soaked up the accident, pour white vinegar on the spot, let it sit for a bit, then vacuum it up (make sure you use a wet/dry vac!). Vinegar neutralizes the ammonia smell of urine that calls a dog back to the spot.

simple solutions (you can find it at petsmart, etc ) works really well, in my opinion! spray in the needed area, let sit for a couple minutes, scrub with a rag, then spray again! repeat as needed! we used to use nature's miracle, but happened to try simple solutions... and like is SO MUCH BETTER! also.. if you can, i would invest in a steam or carpet cleaning vacuum. they work well!

| Thank you all for your advice! I will try anything! I carpet cleaned today, but now I am so paranoid that the room smells. Of course we are having a big party on Saturday so I will really be paranoid about it! ha I have vinegar on hand, so that will be the first thing I try!

| I use Nature's Miracle, because it's not harmful to the dogs, and it takes the smell right away.

| The minute I smell or see them pee on the carpet, i pour a mound of baking soda on the spot. It neutralizes the urine and immediately draws up the wet. Then once its pulled up the urine, scoop up the baking soda. Then you can do a spot clean with your carpet cleaner and all done. |

| We tried it all and on a hot day !! ew! so we took out the rugs, put in a laminate wood floor and a large wee wee pad and it's so much better, I think they like the soft pad (or carpet!) My friend, who cleans houses gets "Joe Campanelli" carpet cleaner, swears by it !!! Only from the internet !???? google it...

| Eco-88 is by far the best product out there for stains and odor, in my opinion. They have a money back guarantee. I will tell you, though, that once the urine is in the carpet padding, it is next to impossible to totally remove that odor. I got rid of all of my carpets for that reason. Here is their website....the stuff is totally amazing in my opinion. I once had beige carpet that one of my very ill pups had messed on...bloody diarrhea. I cleaned and cleaned and could not get rid of the one stain.....then got that stuff on the recommendation of a friend. I used it and most of the stain was gone, but still a bit left. The next day it was GONE! I was shocked. Here is the link to their site: Eco-88- pet odor and pet stain remover. Guaranteed! I have used it for many other things...they have a list on their site of uses for it.

| We just got a second puppy a week ago. Our first dog is only 8 month old and he was totally easy to house break. the puppy thinks the carpeted dog of the house is his puppy pad and no matter how often I take him out he comes into the house to pee. I told my DH this weekend, the puppy goes or he tiles the rest of the house (knowing that there was no way he would get rid of the dog). We went and got tile for the rest of the house (we had just tiled the front rooms recently and now we'll do the living room and hallways). I currently use and will continue to use Nature's Miracle for any accidents they have. I also use baking soda, I often shake it all over the house and let it stand for a while and then vacuum the house.

| They will refund your money if you are unhappy, but my friend who told me about it has a doggy boutique and she sells it. She has never had anyone return it!
