| Where did you get Cloe Primrose, is the breeders name Pat? Roscoe's dad is one of Pats MOST adorable males (who has since passed). When I saw Primrose I thought I would ask. |

| It is so sad. The bad part is that as long as people buy from folks like this, they will continue to thrive. I hope at the least they make them change the living circumstances. What scares me it that it is a PUPPY place. What happens to the dogs that dont get bought? I dont even want to think about that. |

To the original poster - tell people about this place. Word of mouth can do a lot of damage to their business and that will help close these places down. Don't forget about your news station or local papers. They may be interested in doing an article and they'll do the research. Good job!

To the OP, that is awesome that you contacted the spca in your area. I will keep my fingers crossed that they can put them out of business.

| I bought her in southern Indiana about 30 miles from where I live (just across the river from Louisville.) What is significant about Primrose? |

That looks like a puppy mill to me, how can one kennel carry SO many different types of dogs? That is almost a shame! Of course they are nice, they are trying to get your money | |

| Well then... some word of mouth! Hopefully the NJSPCA will be visiting these places TODAY and no one will be getting a tip-off. So I will post the names of these facilities late tonight or tomorrow. Anyone can join YT for free, and I don't know if the store owners have any contacts on here. I'll post them in a new thread later so that evryone can read them. I don't know if I will be getting a call back from the NJSPCA, they did take a first name and phone number in case they had any questions. Fingers crossed for CITATIONS! And even better yet TOTAL SHUTDOWN!!! |

| Don't get discouraged! You will find your puppy. Just keep looking. You will know when you find "the one". I instantly fell in love with Missy after looking at Yorkies for months. She only cost $995 Canadian, I would have paid much more for her. Just keep your hopes up. It will all work out.

| For the lady that is looking for a Yorkie but won't pay the awful prices they ask for them. I got my beautiful baby from a private breeder, meaning she just bred her female and is not in the business. I got my baby for $700 and he is a love and she pampered her pups till they left her and his personality shows it. I do not know if she is going to breed again but I can certainly find out if you are interested. |

| Living in California costs are higher on ewverything! However, I looked around for a while and found a breeder who had three yorkie puppies. IT was the parents first litter. Their was only one female. i was able to get Suzi for $600.00. SHe is jsut 7lbs and 10 months. It is a matter of doing the homework and being patient. Suzi was not from a puppy mill either. I may have gotten extra lucky on her, I know I had. Becasue I have seen many Yorkies that are thousands of dollars easy .You will find that perfect little Yorkie puppy! I understand your frustration, just keep looking and don't settle for anything less then ideal.
