| Hey everyone - maybe someone can help me sort this sleeping dilemna out.....when my 1yr old yorkie was about 8/9 months - she was finally able to sleep in my bed with me (i also have 3 cats and 1 foster cat that like to sleep in there as well, although they seemed to give Peanut first dibs!). She used to be so good about sleeping all night right next to me and waking up sleepy eyed! But lately (and I don't know if this is because I have another yorkie now (since end of Dec) she's been getting up and chasing the cats and playing with the cats while I'm asleep! When I try to shut the door so she's not disturbed by whatever they're doing in the other room - she cries like she has to go potty and I let her out of the room................last nite I finally tried putting her back in the crate......yeah like that worked. Any suggestsion? I cannot sleep - she's keeping me up half the night back and forth back and forth!!!!!!!!!! And the baby (whose only 3 mos) sleeps thru the night! GO FIGURE!!!!!!!! Is she acting out because of the baby - or is it that now that she realizes she's FREEEE while I'm sleeping - she's taking advantage! |

| Lil' Miss Izzie sleeps with me up in my bed in her napsack from Chattiesmom. Up until she was a little over a year she was downstairs in her xpen in the kitchen at night till she was completely pottytrained. She know knows to get up and go to her potty pad if she needs to relieve herself during the night. It only took one night of her having an accident on my bed and being put in her xpen downstairs and she knew that if it happened again she wouldn't be allowed in my bed.

| Pao Pao has a few beds...but this is the one (link below) we put right beside our bed. I made the bed with his name on it. He alternate in between sleeping with us and in his bed. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ppy-happy.html Edited to add: He has 3 other beds but this is still his favourite...might have to change the filling soon though.

| Jamie is actually sleeping with me right now. Sometimes I'll let him sleep with me to give Misty a break(RebelBelleY bc he is up every morning at 7 to go potty. When we first got him he slept in a play pen untile he started catching on to potty training then he moved to the crate. But now that we are in a house with hardwood floors he has run of the house. I'll probably do the same with Beau just to get him potty trained.

| Princess used to sleep in her kennel right by my side of the bed. Then at about 3 months she would get us up earlier and earlier to go potty, (she was house broken) then when she went potty she got in bed with us. Well it got worse so i decided to put her in bed with us one night and see how long she would sleep. She slept from 11:30pm - 8:00 am. Not a peep!! Little stinker figured it out fast. So she sleeps with us down at the bottom of the bed and loves to sleep on the electric blanket that keeps her warm. Doesnt wake us all night unless she is sick. Sleeps really late on weekends. We all ways make sure that she goes out right before we go to bed. She weighs 9.6lbs so we know she is there and she is kinda a bed hog, if you get up you lose your spot fast she will sneak in to take it. During the day she sleeps on the bed or sofa when we are home. But when we leave we still put her in the kennel she goes to get her toys and takes her treat in there and waits and sleeps in her expensive bed till we get home. Talk about spoiled!! ![]() ![]() |
