Sylvan, if you really did get the $5000, I've got a feeling you would donate part of it. Then again I remember a
lady that wanted to breed Cavalier King Charles and she had so many problems
with the stock she purchased and it took so long with so much expense to breed
one pup, they called the one pup they finally came up with $20,000 twetythoh. She would have lost money selling it
for $5,000 but she kept it and breed her. I think doing the right thing might not
make you rich but I have seen people who are fair and ethical and seem to have
a hobby or business that lasts a very long time. The greedy don't last long.

Tess is drop dead gorgeous and I'll bet Mr. Cohen would be really sorry he let me have her if he could see her now. She is the official yorkie pup sliding board at our house and a total sweetheart, but don't tell Francie.

You know Kim, I debated about whether to respond to you here or not, but decided to be gracious and answer your question in spite of the fact that you choose to ignore my questions to you when you apparently have no reasonable answer. You did take what I said here out of context, but I should have clarified a bit further with a geography limitation...so yes, the average market price for a good high quality pet puppy in the area that I live, bred by a reputable breeder is 1,250. to 1,800. Anyone charging 5,000. for a puppy is price gouging and that is not right. IN MY HUMBLE OPINION.
I don't know what about that you could possibly find confusing, but I'm sure there will be something that we will all have to hear.
