| Instead of the actual wet clothes (chemicals) - I bought from home depot a big box of rags, which are actually like a heavy duty paper towel. I wet it with water and then wet it with a white vinegar/lemon juice solution. I adhere this rag to the swifter mop and clean like that. |

| Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I mop with my Swiffer wet jet up to 10 times a day with my 8 dogs and no problems. I for one will keep using it.

Swiffer may or may not be more dangerous than other cleaners but ALL cleaners need to be kept out of the reach of dogs and they should not be allowed to walk on a floor that is still drying. While Swiffer is thought to be as safe as other chemicals (and it likely is), I do not always take Snopes as the final word on everything either. It's a great site but how do we know that their information is always correct?

| Oh geezzz... I didn't even think about checking with Snopes!! I was just all in a panic for people who might use this. I apologize getting jumping to conclusions that were investigated. I guess we all have to judge for ourselves and be careful as to what we do use with these lil' guys.

| As soon as I read this thread earlier, I read on mine, the cleaner bottle and the wet jet itself and found no warnings about children and small animals. |

| I also got this email and when I checked it on snopes I realized it was false, always go on there to check or you will go stir crazy with all the stuff you get on emails. |

| I used to use the swifter wet jet all the time before I got my steam mop. but I never let the girls out of my room until the mopped areas were completely dry. its just scary what chemical can do to pets and young children!

| I really want a steam mop, any good brands anyone can recommend? I have a handheld one for clothing and I use it on my furniture and it works awsome with smells and stains |

| I have a shark..does a great job, just the cord is not quite long enough so my DH added a longer one..I have ALOT of tile in my house. It's great for quick cleanup in the puppies x-pen. The 2 pads that it comes with are not as good as the refill ones. |

| I have a swiffer wet jet, and a Shark steam mop. I just got the steam mop though, so I went over 3 years washing my tile floors with the wet jet and my 2 boys never had a problem with it. I now use the steam mop for a full floor cleaning and the wetjet for quick clean ups. I don't like the cord on the steam mop. Its limiting and gets caught on everything. I hate it actually... but I do like the floors after I steam mop so I guess I will suffer with the cord.
