| Barks at dogs on tv Lily will actually wake up to bark at a dog on TV!!! She watches TV alot but if a DOG comes on there she will bark like CRAZY!! She really isn't around other dogs much and when she is outside on her leash she will bark at dogs too. She is 10 months old and has become quite a little BARKER!!lol She will not stop either no matter what we have tried with her. Coins in a can, water bottle etc. Really she pretty much controls us mostly and we just live here with her!!lol She does go potty on her pads good!! We love her to pieces and don't know how we lived without her!! |

| molly usually looks behind the tv to see where the barking is coming from. If a doorbell rings on the tv, molly barks like crazy thinking someone is at our door!! |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Neither of my yorkies even notice the tv.....but my silky (Captain) has since he was little. It has gotten to the point he listens for the music in commercials and will start the barking before he even sees the dog/cat/animal. And now he has taught my other silky (Heaven) the same habit.....but she has to see the dog/cat first - she has not learned to music of the commericals ....yet. Glad to know we are not the only one that has a tv watching dog!!

| Conner does not bark at the tv, but we keep the radio on low at night for him, and during the Christmas season, he would bark and go look out the window every time the dogs bark to Jingle Bells. Sometimes it would be 2 or 3 in the morning. My husband was happy when the regular programming was put back on!!!

| Dogs .... like us can see television and definitely react to sound too some dogs react to other animals more than others on TV But one day my puppies were playing in the living room and I had the bedroom TV on and there was a wolf howling .... Owooooo They came in looking all around the room as if they expected to find another dog in there

| Gracie Ruth is very aware of what's happening on the tv. She does the whole barking thing at other dogs who are barking or if a doorbell rings. But she also really watches the tv. I had a horse jumping competition on the other day and she was walking by as the horse was running to and jumping over a fence. The camera was zoomed into the horse and it filled the whole screen. She stopped and looked up at it. Then started standing up on her hind legs to try and get a closer look. She even was trying to climb the tv table to get up close. DH picked her up and held her so that she could see it clearly. Her head moved and she watched that horse do all the turns and jumps throughout the entire course. It was the craziest thing, but then she's my girl, so of course she loves horses too. She also enjoys Animal Planet and will growl at the 'dangerous' animals. And watches the show dogs do their thing will absolute focus. I think she secretly longs for the "glamorous" life of a pampered show dog.

| My boys don't pay attention to what's on tv but my girl goes nuts jumping up and barking if she sees a dog and when it disappears she runs around to the bedroom because she thinks they snuck back there somehow

| Barking at Dogs on TV My poodle, Elvira, used to bark at dogs and wolves on TV - she was very selective. None of my other dogs, including my Yorkie, Rocky, even notices the TV. It was one of the things that made her special. I had to put her to sleep about 5 weeks ago due to heart disease. I am still trying to find a pal for Rocky. Erika |
