Dogs .... like us can see television
and definitely react to sound too
some dogs react to other animals more than others on TV
But one day my puppies were playing in the living room
and I had the bedroom TV on
and there was a wolf howling ....
Owooooo They came in looking all around the room 
as if they expected to find another dog in there
