| ![]() My Suzi has done the humping behavior since 4 months. I will not all ow her to do that with me, however she still tries to. It is correct that it only gets worse. It is better to stop them from continuing because they are trying to be dominante.

| ![]() How do you stop her from doing it? Just firmly say no? I didn't know female babies hump as well. I thought it was funny at first because it seemed like a sexual thing. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() Yes, it's best to make them stop if they are humping a human, I don't think anyone believes that this is good. Some people don't like them to hump anything, but it doesn't bother me if the hump other dogs or stuffed toys, and I have read nothing that indicates it's harmful.

Humping is associated with the hormone testosterone, and both male and females make testosterone. The bulk of testosterone is made by the male's testicles, and so neutering cuts down on the behavior, but since the body makes some as well, some dogs will continue to hump.

| ![]() They don't have to be dominant dogs in general, but it is a sign of dominance over what they are humping. The pack eader would never allow any other dog to hump him/her, but the others might hump each other. |
