| Dont worry about the size of your little dog, as long as they are healthy. There seem to be almost as many people on here who have bigger yorkies as ones with the smaller variety...and we all love them to bits. |

Welcome, Im pretty new here also. I was told by my pom breeder that sometimes you cannot determine the size of the dog by the parents, only thing you can determine is the how the puppy will look like. My friends dog is 2.5 pounds full grown, but the dad was 5 pounds and the mom was 8 pounds!!!!. Also, my pom is 6 pounds but her parents were 3 pounds!!!! Weird huh? O well, the bigger the better, more to cuddle with!!! | |

| My Spicy is 13 lbs. We wanted one a bit larger because our youngest child was 2 when we got Spicy. He's been the perfect size. We are now thinking of getting another one and this time I would like a smaller little girl. Not a tiny...but around 6 lbs is what I'm hoping for. We'll use the same breeder but from what I've read it is VERY had to tell how big they will actually grow to be. Spicy's ears never stood up either, I'm assuming most teapots have floppy ears. But bless his heart, he doesn't know he is a teapot with floppy ears! We tell him he's gorgeous--and he is!

| My big girl-- who it turns out is *only* 13.5lbs. I was thinking 15, but I guess she feels heavier than she really is. And yes, she has the floppy ears as well.

| Preston is a teapot also, weighing in @ 14 lbs. Not all teapots ears are floppy, as his aren't, but it does seem to be a tendency. I wonder why that is? I do have a theory about it, but does anyone else?
