| You definately have a case in civil court. The owners should be made to pay all vet bills, and any court fees incurred at the very least. Animal Control should be taking them to court for Dangerous Dog. At least that is the way it works in Virginia. If you go to court you can request the dog be delcared dangerous. I am not sure of the laws in CA. But if I were you I would contact a lawyer and get all your options before you procede. I am sorry your little one was so badly hurt. I hope he makes a speedy recovery.

He's getting better with every passing moment and I'm grateful for that. Quote:
I filled out a report with animal control and the investigation is still pending. If the dog has a history, the owners will not be allowed to have him back. If this is his first offense, they can pay the fees and get him back, but he will be considered a "dangerous dog". | ||

| Take all of your bills and such and get a lawyer and file a civil suit. This dog should have been put down and the owners should be held responsible. SUE, SUE, SUE! |
